I’m just going to use a full service streaming platform for almost the same cost but I’ll get relaxing, sleep, podcasts, regular music, etc. agreed kills, bye bye **Developer response:** Due to rising royalty rates for operating ad-based streams, our free service is no longer sustainable. After careful consideration, we’ve decided to transition to a fully subscription-based model. The free, ad-supported service will end after February 2025. But App need updating so our phones are not tethered to a speaker via Bluetooth or Airplay. Those are yesterday’s tech. Time to add Chromecast or other Wi-Fi based tech so we can turn off or disconnect the phone after launching a track or station. New age and relaxing music is my favorite and there's plenty of very high quality songs playing from these different internet radio stations. The only reason why I minus 2 stars is mostly because of the intrusive radio ads. Sometimes, the commercial plays very loudly which scares me and interrupts my calm relaxed state, especially when the commercial just starts out of nowhere. So I ended up switching to YouTube because it only shows 1 ad in the beginning and that's it. I can't afford the premium membership right now so that's out of the option. When it disappeared from RadioTunes I was very disappointed but while wandering across the streams found Zen Radio and figured there might be something in here to replace my lost meditation music. Well, there it was, my old Asian Meditation music! I’m a happy camper now and back on schedule with my morning workouts and meditations. Cheers! ### 4/5 — Casting Feature Useful But Unfinished *2023-11-18, version 5.0.6* Unlike several other music services apps (Spotify, Pandora, Amazon, Apple Music, YouTube Music and a couple others others) this app must be open or at least in background in order to continue playing music on cast-enabled speakers like Google Nest, Bose Smart speakers etc. I can start streaming with the other apps, then close the app completely or even leave the network or turn the phone off completely, and the music will keep playing. Not the case with this app. Still, however, this app represents an excellent curation of all of the included genres.
