This has one simple line which moves fluidly like an analog amp meter or something. Three other apps that I tested on my iMac and iPad derived the same tone frequency from my guitar and a test tone generator. This app is off by - 5.0 Hz. The only thing is I have to set the system input as MacBook Air-Microphone. When I set the default input as my Rubix44 USB sound card, Zen Tuner stops working. Would you please make this beatiful and useful app able to work with external sound card? ### 3/5 — Only useful for acoustic instruments *2021-07-14, version 0.2.0* I didn't notice and it's not clear from the product description that this app only supports tuning acoustic instruments. This is because it only uses the microphone, and doesn't allow selection of any other audio interface. So while it looks beautiful and may very well work well, I wanted an electric guitar / bass guitar tuner. ### 4/5 — Freezes frequently *2025-01-12, version 0.3.0* I love this app and use it all the time but it ‘freezes’ frequently. And most important it works as well as any tuner app out there. Solid, basic, application -- "does what is says on the tin."
