Please remove that stupid shake to pause feature or make it optional or at least don't make it shake to unpause as well! Every time I pause the game and set it down I return to an unpaused game with a destroyed castle! I'm guessing when I set it down it unpauses? Other than that, great game though! Only 5 levels with 3 difficulty settings. I beat the entire game in less than 2 hours. Spend your money on a Redbox rental. It will last longer. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — For rampart fans *2014-04-10* Good reboot of RAMPART the old tower defense game. This makes sense as a touch game. Zen Wars combines elements of puzzle piece building, territory capture and shooting various enemies that shoot back or invade your territory. It has multiplayer and survival modes. Some variety in puzzle pieces, weapons, levels etc. Survival mode is great, unfortunately no one is ever on the network for global multiplayer, local multiplayer seems fun. Over the top epic funk soundtrack is pretty annoying though. A lot of iOS games are quickly made and crappy, though rampart is tried and true and has been ported to lots of systems. I'm much more of a turn based strategy player but I bought this game because I was trying to find a Rampart clone (Atari arcade game from the early 1990's). Zen Wars did not disappoint! The pacing is great, each level has fantastic variety and its not insanely hard early on. The different play modes are a blast and it continually adds new elements to keep it engaging. I'm not a big fan of the comic book interludes but they can be skipped and you can get back to the game :) Lots of fun, great interaction, solid user interface that makes sense.
