Regardless, this is still one of my favorite apps! Great layout, easy to use. Very calming. I love how you can add a particularly good quote to a favorites list. I use this app when I wake up in the morning, to ponder the quote over the day. Besides the glitch, this app is the best! Good when it works. ### 2/5 — Great app, but very flawed. *2013-06-27* Just because it sounds very Buddhist doesn't mean Buddha said it or it even has to be attributed. I believe that at least one-third of the quotes are either unattributable in reality or can be found on fake quote sites. That being said, it's one of the better sources I've used. While many of the quotes are great, I've gotten the feeling, over the past year, that each update brings more with bad spelling and punctuation that wouldn't pass through a single proofreading. It usually only takes one google search to discover the quote is fake. ### 3/5 — Exceptional & insightful selection *2017-11-26, version 1.6* I have used this app every morning for the past couple of years and it never disappoints. Excellent selection of quotes from Zen masters past and present, as well as non-Buddhists with decidedly "zen" perspectives on the world. I find the last of these categories particularly illuminating and engaging. Unfortunately, I do have one complaint, which has caused me to lower my rating from 5 stars to 3: Virtually every quote attributed to "Buddha" is very obviously not a genuine Buddha quote (and many of the fake Buddha quotes are actually contrary to basic Buddhist practice). Most of these fake quotes were added in the last update or two; the developers would do well to remove them or attribute them to the correct authors. ### 3/5 — Daily zen *2014-07-06, version 1.46* It's been stuck on the same daily zen for a week and a half.
