### 5/5 — Makes remembering and sharing chores stress free

*2019-12-10*

Great app easy to customise.

### 5/5 — Fantastic app for managing chores

*2019-12-09*

My wife and I use this app all the time and it’s perfect in what it does. We love the fact that it’s an unobtrusive and friendly reminder and allows us to easily balance our chore-load. The interface is snappy and it’s very intuitive. Highly recommend this for families, roommates, partners, or even solo home management.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Do not get this app

*2021-06-11*

I don’t like chores

### 1/5 — Cant even try

*2020-09-26*

The free trials on Apple are a joke, and devs take advantage of this. You can’t try the app without committing to a free trial, which of course is free, but not worth the hassle of having to cancel. You should let users actually try your app before requiring them to put that much thought into it. Sounds like it has potential, but many will never know because of your lame paywall.

**Developer response:** I'm sorry that Apple makes it a hassle to cancel subscriptions. Having a free trial allows people to try the app while understanding that the app is not a free app.

### 1/5 — Not paying monthly

*2020-05-25*

I refuse to pay a monthly sub for a glorified checklist.

### 1/5 — Pointless subscription

*2020-04-15*

I would have gladly paid a small flat fee to purchase an app like this, but there’s no way I’d pay for a recurring subscription for an app to track chores. This is ridiculous.

### 1/5 — Free membership would be nice

*2020-01-14*

Free download is misleading. I don’t want to pay to organize my family, especially when most family members don’t utilize the app.

**Developer response:** I'm sorry that you found it misleading. You can sign up for a free month to try out the app. Sadly, Apple doesn't provide a way to make it clear that the app requires a subscription. We've included a note in the description of the app to let people know that a subscription is required.

### 4/5 — Wish there were points and Android support.

*2023-02-05*

This app is exactly what my roommates and I were looking for. It’s simple and sleek and there aren’t a bunch of stupid settings. However the major drawback is that it’s not android compatible so one of our roommates can’t use it. it would also be nice if there was a Point System.

### 4/5 — Great app!! (& better Free!!!)

*2023-01-05*

Purchased this app several months ago, to use with my spouse. Sadly, she wasn’t a fan, but it helped me remember to do more around the house. I like that the chores keep until the next scheduled time, and then renew. (I only said I improved, not that I was getting it all done.)
I say get it—and this is from someone who thought it was worth the subscription price. Now that it’s free, you have nothing to lose but your clutter.

One niggle for the developer about it being free, though…
Is there any way for those of us who had a subscription & have cancelled it w/Apple to kill that damned pop-up reminding us to cancel? Are “never subscribers” getting that too?!? I mean, I get why it’s there, but…

Minor…but if it is/can become possible, I’d be most appreciative…

### 4/5 — Great app! Could use a couple more features

*2021-03-24*

I’ve only had this app for a day, but I’m already loving it. There are a few more features that would make it even better, though:
1. A calendar view with color coding or filter by owner so I can more easily see where to spread out chores so they don’t all land on the same days/weekends. Even if I couldn’t edit tasks directly from there at first, just the view would help see where a bunch of things are clustered.
2. Ability to Alternate between only certain people instead of everyone. For example, I only want my husband and I to clean the master bedroom, or I want only the kids to alternate cleaning the shared bathrooms.
3. Allow multiple owners for things. Example: something an adult might want to do with a child. Right now a work around is to just assign it to the adult, which is fine, but I could see other possible uses for this, too, like I want all the kids to rake the leaves, etc.
4. While I’m happy with the checklist attached to the task, my husband really wants a general notes field to put a longer description than the name, but not in checklist format. To me, the checklist meets that need, but I can see how a notes field might be useful for some.

All in all, though, a wonderful app that’s already making my life easier after one day! It seems like this is going to be well worth the yearly subscription price. Great job!!

### 4/5 — Good house cleaning/task app

*2020-03-22*

Not too bad, close to the app I had when I had back when I had android.

### 4/5 — A suggestion

*2020-01-08*

Overall great app—easy interface, well-organized. My only complaint is the assignment of tasks. I love that users can assign individual and rotating tasks. However, I think adding an “everyone” option and the ability to assign specific chores to multiple people would take this app from wonderful to spectacular. I live in a house with roommates, and trying to keep everyone accountable for their own messes is a struggle. Our household has a daily dishwashing chore for everyone’s own dishes. Only problem is there’s no “everyone” option for task assignment. Also, only certain members of the home are responsible for pet care since not everyone owns a pet in the house. Being able to assign “walk dogs” to only two people instead of anyone/one person would be grand. Please consider!

**Developer response:** Thanks for the compliments and feedback! I presume you were able to find that you can assign tasks to 'anyone', but maybe this is a bit different to 'everyone' where everyone needs to check it off? We'll definitely consider this for the future. And assigning tasks to a few specific people is on our list. We hope to get it into the app soon :). Please email us at hello@zendenapp.com if you have more specifics on these features so we make sure to build it right.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2022-12-31*

Great simple to use app, making tasks was a breeze. Love that’s it’s free. Thank you

### 5/5 — Excellent App for Scheduling Tasks

*2022-09-05*

I forget when I last did a task, so this has been a fantastic app for checking what needs to be done. It can snooze as well as have specific intervals for tasks. If you don’t do a task, it stays on the list until you cross it off. Recommend!

### 5/5 — Exactly the app I needed

*2022-04-12*

Really great functionality and very responsive technical support.

### 5/5 — Great app even when you live alone

*2020-04-29*

I use this all the time, even though I don’t need to share chores. I have reminders for watering plants, giving monthly meds to my dog, etc and use it every day for shopping lists.

### 5/5 — Really seeing the benefit 1 month in

*2020-02-10*

My husband and I have been using the app for a month, and I realized today when he was putting the trash out for morning pickup that I hadn’t had to think about putting the trash out that whole time. Takes a few weeks to see the difference— I’m really happy now that I am spending less time thinking about the list of to dos and don’t need to check up on his stuff. Definitely recommend.

### 5/5 — 5 stars

*2020-02-09*

Great app! It helps us both know all the chores are going to get done without us having to check in on each other. And if one of us is away, it’s a nice organized list of everything that needs doing.

### 5/5 — Sharing family tasks is awesome.

*2020-02-09*

Up until recently, I have been storing the weekly cleaning duties in my own to do app and then parcelling out tasks on the weekend. Switching to ZenDen for task management has been fantastic, because I no longer have to be the keeper of the chore list. My husband and I can both see what needs to be done, and let me tell you: the relief that I feel here is immense.

As a bonus, the app is well-designed and a pleasure to use.

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2020-02-09*

This is the only app my wife and I have found that works for keeping track of household tasks that works for us

### 5/5 — Use it every day

*2020-02-08*

It’s a great way to stay on top of what I need to do without stressing about it.

### 5/5 — +A! No more passive aggressive post-it notes...

*2019-12-19*

This app delivers everything it promises for organizing shared home duties, plus something even more valuable: roommate harmony. I love that it alleviates the hassle of remembering to do my part around the house via reminders, but the #1 reason you should download this app is to eliminate the pressure of anyone having to assume the role of “anal-naggy-roommate”. Download the app and you can thank the developers later.
