Zenith Journal is your AI-powered journaling companion that helps you reflect, grow, and understand yourself better. Write freely, speak your thoughts, or scan handwritten notes — Zenith meets you where you are. Journaling in Zenith is free, and so is having your voice notes turned into text. Premium adds the AI that reads what you have written and reflects it back to you. It is a separate auto-renewing subscription, and eligible new subscribers can start with a 14-day free trial. Cancel any time in Settings > [Apple ID] > Subscriptions before your trial ends to avoid being charged. FREE, WITH NO SUBSCRIPTION • Unlimited Journaling — Write as much as you like, with tags, photos and your own mood on every entry. • Voice Notes, Transcribed Free — Record for up to three hours and Zenith writes it down for you. On iPhones running iOS 26 this happens on the device itself, so your voice never leaves your phone and it works with no signal. • Lock Screen Recorder — Start a voice note from your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. • Handwrite — Write a page with your finger or Apple Pencil and keep it with the entry. • Journey Stats — Your writing streaks, mood trends and journaling consistency, in charts. • Journey — Keep track of habits, check-ins and how consistently you write. • Your Journal, Everywhere — Entries, photos and handwritten pages sync across your devices and survive a reinstall. WHAT'S INCLUDED IN PREMIUM • AI Reflections — A thoughtful response to every entry that helps you see patterns and ask the questions you had not thought of yet. • Smart Mood Tracking — Zenith reads the mood in what you write and builds an emotional journey over time. • Weekly & Monthly Insights — Patterns, observations and reflections drawn across your whole journal. • Actions & Goals, Found For You — Tasks, goals and bucket list items pulled out of your entries automatically. • Entity Extraction — People, places and themes auto-tagged across your journal. • Handwriting Scanner — Photograph handwritten notes and convert them to digital entries. • Choose Your AI Personality — Pick from Gentle Friend, Coach, Mentor, or Analyst to match how you want to reflect. • Transcription on Older iPhones — iPhones that cannot transcribe on their own, or languages Apple's model does not cover, are transcribed on our servers instead. Zenith is built around a warm, dusk-inspired interface with full dark and light mode support. Your journal entries are private and secure — we never sell your data and never train AI on your content. That is true on every plan, paid or not. On iOS 26 the recording stays on your device instead of being sent to a server, so transcription costs nothing, needs no subscription, and works even with no signal. Older iPhones, and languages Apple's model doesn't cover, keep using our servers, which is part of Premium. Voice notes also record for as long as you keep talking, up to three hours, and long recordings are transcribed in full. A Zenith recorder on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island shows your recording time at a glance, and you can drag through any voice note to jump straight to the part you want. Also in this release: • Sign in with Apple • Handwrite: write a page with your finger or Apple Pencil and Zenith turns it into text, keeping the page with the entry • Photos and handwritten pages now stay with your entries across devices and reinstalls • Writing Tools in the editor • Ready for iPhone Duo: your entries sit beside the editor when the phone is unfolded • A cleaner journal screen and sign-up, plus reliability fixes throughout ### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-12 Reliability improvements: journaling stays fully available even if the App Store is briefly unreachable, and premium unlocks more smoothly after you subscribe. ### 1.0.1 — 2026-07-17 Reliability improvements: journaling now stays fully available even if the App Store is briefly unreachable, and premium unlocks more smoothly after you subscribe. ### 1.0 — 2026-07-14 No release notes. --- *Data collected daily from the US App Store and indexed by [AppsHunter](https://appshunter.io/).
