## What is ZenO Data?

ZenO turns your everyday routines into valuable training data for robotics AI, and rewards you for it.

Pick a task, hit record, and show how you do things like wiping a table, folding clothes, or loading a dishwasher. Each completed recording earns you points. It's that simple.
The data you contribute helps researchers and developers teach robots how to perform real-world household tasks. ZenO uses your iPhone's ARKit spatial tracking to capture precise first-person motion, so every recording carries rich 3D context. No special equipment needed, just your iPhone and a few minutes.
What you can do:

Browse available tasks and pick what works for you
Record short first-person demonstrations with ARKit spatial tracking
Earn points for every approved submission
Track your progress and contributions in the app

Whether you've got five spare minutes or an hour, there's always a task to pick up. The more you contribute, the higher you rank on the leaderboard.
Built by ZenO.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.14 — 2026-08-19

Voice missions now respect their time limit. A recording stops when it
reaches the mission's maximum length, and everything captured up to that
point is kept and can still be submitted.

When a take ends on its own, the app now says why, so it no longer looks
like something went wrong.

Clearer wording on the Dialect field in your worker profile.

### 1.0.13 — 2026-08-11

A new look built around a tab bar, with recording one tap away.

Voice missions are new: read a script, speak about a topic, or record a two person conversation. The app warns you while recording if the room is too loud.

My Data now separates app recordings from camera roll clips, and your profile carries a worker card with a trust score.

Also: the first recording after opening the app no longer stutters, a full mission tells you instead of opening, and imported clips no longer keep a second copy on your phone.

### 1.0.12 — 2026-07-30

Recording reliability

• Fixed a bug where two recordings made within the same minute shared one
folder, causing the first to be lost and the second to upload with the
  wrong depth data.
• Video, camera pose and depth tracks are now always the same length, so
they stay in sync frame for frame.
• The first recording after opening the app no longer stutters — the video
encoder is now prepared before the camera screen opens.
• Recordings that fail to save are marked and can no longer be uploaded as
  if they were complete.
• The storage check before recording now accounts for the space needed to
package depth data, so a recording can no longer be filmed and then be
  impossible to process.

Uploads

• Large recordings now upload successfully. Files above roughly 150 MB
previously failed near the one-minute mark.
• Files are uploaded one at a time, with a single continuous progress bar
  for the whole recording.
• Interrupted uploads resume correctly, including after an app update, and
retrying one no longer creates a duplicate recording.
• Uploading is blocked while depth data is still being packaged, and while
  a recording is being deleted.

### 1.0.11 — 2026-07-28

This update focuses on recording reliability.
• Fixed an issue where recordings on some devices could not be played back.
• Fixed stuttering in the camera preview while recording.
• Fixed a delay that could leave the app on the launch screen.
• When a recording can't be completed — not enough storage, the device
overheating, or the camera being interrupted — the app now explains what
happened and what to do about it.
• The storage indicator on the home screen now shows free space out of total
capacity, so it's clear how much room is left before you start.

### 1.0.10 — 2026-07-27

• Fixed recordings that could end up unplayable
• More reliable capture on high-frame-rate devices
• Recordings now show a 10-minute limit, with a clear cue when a take ends
• Play your recordings directly in the app
• Stability improvements and bug fixes
