Since I was a kid, I’ve always loved looking up a the sky, wondering where the planes are headed towards. It’s just, there is something magical about spotting a plane and letting my imagination go wild, guessing where planes are coming from, trying to guess what model a plane is. That’s why I made Zephy. It’s a little app for people (like me) who just can’t stop watching the skies above. So, what can Zephy do? With Zephy, you can do more than just look. You can see what aircraft are flying above you with the radar, filter them by distance, altitude, direction, or only show the aircrafts that are in the air. You can even track a specific aircraft and see where it came from, where it’s going, and get directional input with the built-in compass. Or, if you’re feeling lazy, just use the “Track Closest Plane” button and Zephy will pick the nearest one for you. And now for the million dollar question. Why Zephy? I made it to be simple, personal, and clutter-free. No overwhelming data, no feeling like you’re in a crowded control tower. Just an app for people, who (like me) can’t resist looking up and seeing what’s flying above them. We've made a bunch of improvements for people using screen readers to make it more accessible and easier to navigate. And while we were at it, we gave the units screen a bit of a makeover. Nothing revolutionary, just a fresh coat of paint and a few thoughtful tweaks to make it a little bit more pleasant to use. ### 1.3.1 — 2026-05-24 This update is about making Zephy feel a little bit more at home around the world. The biggest addition this time is addition language support for Dutch and German, making it easier to navigate the app in the languages that feels most natural to you. A small change on the surface, but an important step toward making the experience more welcoming for more people. We also spent some time polishing the plane tracking screen. Nothing revolutionary, just cleaner visuals, smoother details, and a few subtle refinements that make the experience feel a bit nicer overall. ### 1.3.0 — 2026-03-22 Even the most advanced cockpit should be usable by every pilot. That's why this update is all about making sure everyone can navigate Zephy comfortably. As accessibility is something that genuinely matters. So we fine-tuned the instruments: proper screen reader support has been added, reduced motion is now handled correctly, larger system font sizes finally fit on the screen, and a few more behind the scenes stuff. And... somewhere along the way, I found a new font which I absolutely adore. Which obviously meant I had to redesign half of the app. ### 1.2.2 — 2026-02-05 This update is a short hop rather than a long-haul flight. It introduces a new radar filter toggle that lets you choose between viewing aircraft, ground vehicles, or both, giving you a clearer picture of what's moving around airports. And as usual, we've also smoothed out a few bumps along the way. ### 1.2.1 — 2026-01-13 As we lift off from the runway out of 2025, we're cruising into 2026.
