### 3/5 — Not Intuitive

*2026-05-06*

Love the motorcycle, the software and app are crazy making. Very poor software, not at all intuitive. I figured out much of the bike by fumbling around, since the manual is inaccurate in so many places. For $20 K I would expect things to work simply and smoothly. The manual should explain things in detail rather than the simplistic and inaccurate way it hints at how to do things. Just say it the way it is with all the alternatives, instead of dumping us in a menu that doesn’t look anything like the manual. There are two buttons on the handlebars marked “mode”. Really? One of them has a single function, which is not “mode“. Trying to register this bike is the first thing I can’t stand about it, and the Dealer agreed he couldn’t figure it out either. Come on guys, this bike has been around for years, edit your own manual and get it right. The bike itself, fantastic.

### 3/5 — Not good

*2026-03-31, version 2.13.0*

I wish there was more reviews online about how the workday app and every time it says, customize your digital display it never changes on my zero motorcycle

### 2/5 — When will we get landscape mode?

*2026-03-18*

Shoving all the gauges to the bottom 25% of the screen in portrait is not landscape. Landscape mode should use the whole screen like portrait does but orient the text so that it isn't 90° off from how you're holding the phone. Since you won't let me customize the screen on my Zero FX at least allow me to have custom gauges on my landscape phone mouned just above the motorcycle's display. Instead the text is oriented portrait whether I pick landscape or reverse landscape.

### 2/5 — Bare minimum

*2025-11-24, version 2.13.0*

It’s frustrating that the app display doesn’t orientate to landscape even though the setting is laid out as an option. The only thing it’s good for is custome regen and torque. Which is not nothing but hardly keeps you using the app more than twice!

### 2/5 — Más apariencia que funcionalidad

*2025-11-07, version 2.13.0*

### 2/5 — Works great

*2025-07-04, version 2.12.0*

Zero s 2025 why can’t I buy or see options still no solution for this I need to go to the dealer it’s a downgrade from 2024 zero disappointing for that amount of money

### 3/5 — Nice but ….

*2025-06-17, version 2.12.0*

The app has room for improvements:
Apparently Zero doesn’t support buying in apps anymore, also with making your own ride profile: remove this or fix it or make it possible to do a small improvements on the standard ride profiles.
Would be nice if you log a ride that you can keep it saved like in the cloud, now it always removes last one.
When you check your last ride, I’m hoping to see it in landscape and zooming in on the data
Needs maps support on screen.(or a kind of CarPlay)

### 2/5 — Cypher Store

*2025-06-15, version 2.12.0*

For Models 2025 no upgrades available…

### 3/5 — Practical app yet there are things to improve

*2025-05-05, version 2.12.0*

Manipulating the app feels sometimes a bit clunky.

It would be nice to be able to save more than one trip. Or at least being able to export complete CSV data for the current trip, that we could use later (toying with open street map for example).

### 2/5 — Notification

*2025-03-20, version 2.12.0*

Les notifications chargé ne fonctionne pas

### 2/5 — Et les notifs ?

*2025-01-22, version 2.12.0*

### 1/5 — App is non responsive

*2024-09-21, version 2.10.0*

None of the upgrades work.
No details of the upgrades are available.
Zero contacts have been totally unresponsive.

### 4/5 — Zero App for Zero eMotorcycles

*2024-09-17*

Works well. Was able to update the firmware without any issues. I wish that you could display more information on the screen than just 4 items. While riding, it’s nice to know battery temp, motor temp, estimated range, and instantaneous efficiency but I would also like to see the trip odometers and it would also be nice to see the ambient outdoor temperature and temperature of the control board. Car dashboards contain a lot more information and on many of them you can change the screen to the next screen to reveal information contained in deeper level menus such as checking tire pressures while driving… I think more could be done to improve the dashboard screen and give it additional functionality.

On the app, one should be able to change riding modes. I don’t know what happened with the last update to the firmware but I can’t select ECO mode while riding. They made a modification that lets you set traction control and ABS but those should be in a lower menu from riding mode. On the DSRX the modes are Standard, Performance Eco, Rain, and Canyon (which gets replaced if you create a custom mode). One SHOULD be able to change riding modes while riding and not have to stop or put the kick stand down.

With this critique I offer a suggestion: Mode Button changes riding modes when bumped to the right, and while in the menu selecting riding modes, the turn signal button should change Traction Control mode when bumped left and ABS mode when bumped right. Releasing throttle confirms choices. Left bump on mode button exits menu and restores function of turn signal button.

### 1/5 — Need better settings

*2024-09-07, version 2.10.0*

No imperial measurements, no 24:00 hr clock. No £ and uk gallons.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App fast unbrauchbar

*2025-11-15, version 2.13.0*

Nur Nutzbar wenn man am Motorrad ist ?
Selbstkonfigurierte Modis nicht aktivierbar?
Akkukontrolle nur am Motorrad möglich?
So ist sie Fast komplett unbrauchbar.

### 1/5 — Zero S

*2025-10-29, version 2.12.0*

### 1/5 — Cheap app

*2025-10-04, version 2.12.0*

Welcome back in 1992

### 1/5 — Registration

*2025-09-13, version 2.12.0*

Can’t register keeps coming up with an error

### 1/5 — No XE

*2025-08-09, version 2.12.0*

Can’t select the XE. When you release a new model then make sure it also has app support.

### 1/5 — Zero Motorcycle App

*2025-06-28, version 2.12.0*

### 1/5 — It’s not always connected

*2025-03-31, version 2.12.0*

It doesn’t true that is always connected to the cellular network; the only mode is locally with a bluetooth connection

### 1/5 — Passwort Rücksetzen nicht möglich

*2025-03-06, version 2.12.0*

Das Zurücksetzen des Passworts ist nicht möglich. Keine Antwort von Zero.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Très pratique

*2025-05-20, version 2.12.0*

### 5/5 — Cypher upgrades worked for my ‘22 SRS!

*2023-03-15*

Great easy to use app. It had a slow pass, but it is way better and very very good today.

### 5/5 — No notification when charge target is achieved.

*2020-10-11*

Since the above (one time) issue of no notification upon completion of charging, I have had no subsequent problems and I have had highly positive experience with this app. I use it regularly to control the charging level and monitoring charging. I have it found it very reliable and easy to use.

### 5/5 — Far better than the legacy app

*2020-07-24, version 2.1.0*

Nearly perfect. Five stars for sure.

### 5/5 — Zero problem easy use app

*2020-07-08, version 2.1.0*

Just bought an SR/S & this app complements it beautifully. Love the charge target & notifications. Also custom ride modes lets me fine tune economy for touring.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2020-05-18, version 2.1.0*

Love the options !

### 5/5 — Super useful. Love the custom ride modes.

*2020-05-07, version 2.1.0*

Excellent app. I love the custom ride modes. I wish you could see the VIN in the app tho.

### 5/5 — Great app for the SR/F

*2019-07-03*

Though not thoroughly intuitive this app gives good details and allows settings that are more difficult to find through the bike’s menu system. Tip: you have to use bike’s menu to turn on Bluetooth pairing the first time.

### 5/5 — More info than I know what to do with

*2019-06-25, version 1.0.2*

This is just a perfect app to use to manage and monitor the Zero!

### 4/5 — Option to edit ride modes no longer works

*2026-06-10*

The app crashes when trying to edit a new ride mode.
Remote location still does not function properly.
