## What is ZerryBit?

ZerryBit is the companion app for your ZerryBit E Ink information display.

Set up your device, manage your widgets and customize what appears on your ZerryBit screen. Choose useful information such as weather, calendar, public transit and other widgets, then adjust your layout and settings to fit your daily routine.

ZerryBit is designed to give you the information you need at a glance, without the distractions of a phone, tablet or bright screen.

With the ZerryBit app, you can:

### 1.3 — 2026-08-21

ZerryBit v1.3
- Added live previews when editing widget settings, including fullscreen views
- Widgets can now be moved between devices by dragging them onto the device selector, with options to move or copy
- Dropping a widget onto a full grid now replaces overlapping widgets and offers a clear undo option also
- Improved widget resizing with automatic view selection and Home Assistant QR-code size warnings
- Improved Home Assistant setup with quicker QR-code scanning, recent scans, fullscreen pairing, and cleaner manual settings
- Added support for checklist and to-do widgets with fast reordering, editable headings, density options, and completed-item styling. These will become available once the updated widget services are released
- Weather widgets now support rain in inches and wind in mph when Fahrenheit is selected. This will become available once the widget update is published
- Fixed failed saves for Date and other widgets, with clearer messages explaining which setting needs attention
- Device switching, loading indicators, and in-app notifications are now smoother and clearer

- Fixed a bug where edits could be lost while saving
- Editing the same device on two phones now lets you keep your changes or load the latest, no more dead ends
- Added a clear "Unsaved" indicator, plus auto-save when you switch devices or leave the app
- Fixed the keyboard covering text fields, and pickers/lists getting cut off
- Cleaner settings fields, widget picker, and first-time setup
- Fixed an issue where the transit filter was not always visible.
- Added QR-code scanning support for Home Assistant widgets. This will become available once the HA Builder supports it.
- Updated the Name field on the profile setup screen for a cleaner and more consistent appearance.
- Fixed an issue where multiple widgets of the same type shared one fullscreen view. Each widget now has its own independent fullscreen view and displays its own configuration correctly.
