zhege is a focused, offline-first HSK study app for Mandarin Chinese learners.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-09-07

• A full UI review, applied on every screen, for clearer and faster navigation.
• Your Beginner Path picks up where you left off, and tells you what the next lesson costs before you start it: how many new words, how many minutes.
• Reading keeps your place. Answers you give while listening count towards the quiz, a quiz you leave resumes where you stopped, and you can reset one whenever you want a fresh start.
• Comprehension questions now follow each chapter paragraph by paragraph, spaced through the text instead of bunched at the end.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-08-18

• Draw a character the way you actually write it. Handwriting search finally understands real handwriting: start a stroke from the wrong end, run two strokes together, get the order wrong, and it still finds what you meant. No connection needed, ever.
• Every chapter now has its own comprehension questions. Wherever you stop, there's something waiting to check you really understood it, with plenty to practise right through to the last chapter.
• Let a chapter read itself to you and it can quiz you along the way. It pauses, asks out loud what you just heard, and carries on with the story once you've answered.
• Hold any word to start listening from that sentence, so you never have to hunt for the place you left off.
• Writing practice works on a plane. Every character now lives inside the app, so tracing never waits for a signal.
• Plenty of smaller fixes.
