## What is Zhouyi?

The Zhouyi, known in the West as the I Ching or Book of Changes, is one of the oldest classics of Chinese thought. This app is a reader and study companion for the complete text: all 64 hexagrams with their judgments and line statements, the Ten Wings commentaries, twelve illustrated articles, and a journal for your own notes.

THE COMPLETE CLASSIC TEXT
- James Legge's complete English translation of the judgments, all 384 line statements and the Ten Wings commentaries
- Browse all 64 hexagrams, each with an ink-wash painting and a familiar English name such as The Creative and The Receptive
- A plain-language introduction to every hexagram, with its nuclear, opposite and inverse hexagrams
- Switch the app to Chinese for the original classical text, collated against several editions, with a modern Chinese translation of every line

- Twelve illustrated articles: What Is the Zhouyi?, Yin, Yang and the Lines, The Eight Trigrams, The 64 Hexagrams, Line Positions, Changing Lines & Hexagrams, Ways to Cast, Reading a Cast, The Ten Wings, Casting with Yarrow Stalks, Body and Function in Plum Blossom, Six Lines and Najia
- Hexagram of the Day, also as a Home Screen widget

THE TRADITIONAL METHODS, EXPLAINED

- Zhu Xi's classical rules point you to the passage to read
