### 2/5 — Used to work

*2022-10-17, version 2.0.2*

Can’t log in… even with Apple ID. Desperately needs update. No longer usable.

### 2/5 — Wont let me ask questions

*2021-05-28, version 1.9.3*

I have tried to ask questions on this app, and it says it needs to verify my account. I never receive the email to confirm it is me. I have tried multiple times. Even checked my spam folder and nothing.

### 3/5 — Needs work

*2020-06-11, version 1.9.3*

Like polls this should be taken with numerous grains of salt. Many questions are not simple yes or no. Many questions have an answer that no matter which answer you select it is one you disagree with. You end up not answering many (if your being honest). I’ll delete this app. Sorry.

### 2/5 — Flaky App

*2020-05-14, version 1.9.3*

Something(s) wrong here.

1. I tried to sign on with a known good password (stored in 1Password when I signed up). The app said “bad password”. I tried several times, same result.

2. I then tried “I forgot my password”. It said “successful. An email will be sent with a temporary password”. No email. Tried again - twice - no email. (And yes, I checked in my spam folder).

3. I gave up on that and tried to sign up as a new user, using a different email address. It said “sending confirmation email”. No email (again).

4. Doesn’t work worth a darn on an iPad. It only displays in Portrait mode. There is no way to make it rotate into Landscape mode.

5. There is no support address to straighten things out - just a signup screen.

I wanted to use this app. Looks like that won’t be possible.

### 2/5 — Was ok

*2019-11-23, version 1.9.3*

Say you can pick your categories but you still get others you don’t ask for. Leftest Jerks flood the site with same questions in different format but same answer. Questions get flagged with out reason.

### 2/5 — It’s cool but...

*2019-01-04, version 1.9.2*

Cool idea but that app is poorly optimized(crashes, bugs etc). That data is useless as you don’t know the survey size of each poll. I read reviews about the conservative thing and thought it can’t be that bad. But it’s true, a majority of political polls are disproportionately right leaning. If it was a diverse pool of users, I would probably use it but it’s just annoying constantly answering cornering right leaning questions.

Maybe you will like it, I mean it’s free so why not try. I however will probably forget about this app in three days from now.

### 2/5 — Needs Work

*2018-10-14, version 1.9.2*

The app has a very clear problem, which is it is IMPOSSIBLE to get 100%. You ask a question with 2 possible answers & it starts out 50/50. Well, that’s mathematically impossible. This simply compounds the problem as people begin voting.

Another bad feature is you don’t know how many people voted. There could have been only 2 or 100 or even 1k. In a world where counting views is big, Zip fails miserably here.

As for the many comments on here about conservatives viewpoints...that’s simply not the case. I have read plenty of political questions with left-leaning answers. So I would not use that as an indicator. The big one—the stats are ALL bad.

### 4/5 — Good with mild improvements

*2018-01-29, version 1.8.1*

I like the concept. We get to propose some questions and answer debates without all the hurt feelings.
I would like to see some improvements:
- give us mild feed back. We don’t want names and addresses but at least tell us how many answered so we can get a feel if we hit a big enough crowd.
- add “custom” time limit to option when setting up the question. Heck maybe start and stop dates if that works best for you. Which ever is good.
-Maybe over time add to our feedback like how many of each answered the questions like; sex, age group, etc

### 2/5 — Not representative of the population and needs restrictions.

*2018-01-27, version 1.8.1*

Despite what others are saying, this app does not accurately represent our population. It is in-proportionally conservative, white and male. I noticed how oddly conservative it was as when I first got it and asked some statistical questions to figure out who was using this app. For instance: Are you a man or a woman? 72% male. That is far from accurate considering women are the majority. Anyway, you get the picture. Also, sthey need to make the answers yes or no. Right now you can type whatever you want. So you get a lot of questions like: “Do you think the FBI is lying to you?” Answer choices: “Yes Absolutely!” or “Only some of the time.” Basically they ask you question and force you to agree, then show it off to their yacht club buddies. Needs a lot of work. Also, NONE OF THESE QUESTIONS MEAN ANYTHING IF YOU DON’T KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE ANSWERED. They don’t show, so only one person could be answering your question “Should it be legal to kill people?” He says “yes,” it shows you 100% said yes, and now you think 100% of people want to kill someone. Very flawed.

### 4/5 — Great app for the people!

*2017-07-25, version 1.6.5*

Love seeing these reviews complaining how it's "largely conservative users" no. Just there's more conservative out there than your fake news media would lead you to believe. I feel this app is straight down the middle and love how it doesn't just revolve around politics. Answering animal questions, relationship advice questions, car questions, it's a great way to pass the time! I love not having to deal with splashscreen ads too. That's what I think really makes this app great!

### 2/5 — Needs Work

*2017-07-01, version 1.6.5*

I loved the idea, but unfortunately it is mostly conservative users writing their one way questions in a way that is not only confusing but off putting to users with a different view. I'm all for expressing differences of opinion, but there needs to be more moderation to ensure that questions don't corner you into agreeing with the poster. If you're an aggressive republican that likes to be told "yes, you're absolutely right and everyone else is wrong" constantly, this is definitely the app for you. Good idea, poor execution so far.

### 3/5 — Needs work and some moderating

*2017-06-19, version 1.6.5*

I love the app. Heard about it on the radio seems like most of it is politics orientated but I still like that. Though many of the political questions seem extremely confusing in an attempt to squeeze it into the character limit. Moderators should edit ranting questions and run them by the original poster so as to come up with a clean and fair compromise on the subject of the inquiry.

Definitely could get some other questions in there tho.

### 3/5 — Just why

*2017-05-21, version 1.6.1*

I love this app. I'd always use it to gain opinions from others during times when I was left with choices and needed someone's else's opinion on what I should do. I can't even update it because it's not compatible with my iPhone 5 anymore but I'm still running iOS 10. Can you please enable devices such as iPhone 5 or higher to update to the latest version? I appreciate this a lot.

### 3/5 — We need extra stats!

*2016-10-22, version 1.5.1*

This app is really fun. I have asked several questions that I truly needed to know the answer to but have been too embarrassed to ever ask people for fear of looking dumb. This app allows you to learn a lot about people and how they think. It's fun to answer questions and create your own... it really passes the time and helps you to relax before bed. But it loses two stars from me because: A) I don't know why or how, but it is overrun by religious republicans. You can't get around that, but it's actually pretty tolerable. Don't follow religion or politics, choose lifestyle or philosophy. B) SHOW. US. THE. STATS! I love the % showing, but we need to know out of how many many souls that percentage represents. Because 95% Yay versus 5% Nay means nothing if Yay is 38 people and Nay is 2. For example, when I see a question of belief where I could possibly lean one way, seeing 78% is nice, but I would be more inclined to change my view if I knew 365,000 people thought that way.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Broken

*2022-04-12, version 2.0.2*

Used to like this app, but the latest version broke it on my iPhone X. Multiple answer polls no longer display the entire text of the question so impossible to answer.

Everyone ignores the list of categories and every question is posted in trending news now. This is not the developers fault, it’s just human nature.

### 1/5 — Flawed

*2021-11-10, version 2.0.0*

I am logged in. I have been logged in virtually continuously since creating the account 24 hours ago. I have tried closing and reopening the app. I have tried logging out and back in. I have restarted my iPad. No luck. Every time I try to verify my account, when I click on the link in the email, I get an error message that the account does not exist. Most of the questions are moronic. I won’t answer the majority of questions because the “authors” put editorial comments in the choices, resulting in none of them reflecting how I’d answer the question. If you don’t know how to write a good set of answers to a question, look up “mutually exclusive and collectively exhaustive”.

### 1/5 — Crashing

*2021-01-25, version 1.9.3*

App needs updating. Keeps crashing. Will delete off my device if not fixed

### 1/5 — App don’t work

*2020-10-21, version 1.9.3*

I did enjoy the app but it wouldn’t let me sign or reset my password. 3 Times I requested a password reset. No link was sent. I signed in using Facebook and it didn’t work. I deleted the app. I give it 0 stars if that was an option

### 1/5 — Used to be fun.....

*2020-05-05, version 1.9.3*

This app used to be fun, but now every single question I post is flagged. Even the simplest, most straightforward, G-rated of questions.

### 1/5 — Who gets polled ?

*2020-04-26, version 1.9.3*

I don’t know who they get to answer these poll questions but it’s obviously not moderates. The answers almost always tend to lean to a right wing perspective. Rarely ever left. I Can’t believe the majority of the people Think like this. I don’t even look at these anymore.

### 1/5 — The app usually crashes

*2019-10-15, version 1.9.3*

App usually works for a few weeks then always crashes. Don’t log in with Facebook and it may help

### 1/5 — The bias is real

*2017-07-12, version 1.6.5*

Questions outside of politics are very rare, and nearly all of the questions in the politics category have a republican bias. If you're looking to get an opinion on things and you're not a conservative, good luck. Questions such as, "Is InfoWars a legitimate news outlet?" scored 57-43% in favor of the lunatics at InfoWars and I asked if gay marriage should remain legal and 69% of Zip users think it should be illegal. If that doesn't say enough about who uses this app, I don't know what does.

TL;DR:
If you're a republican and you want validation with your opinion, this is the app for you. Everyone else? Stay away.

### 1/5 — just obnoxious

*2016-12-31, version 1.5.1*

Regardless of your political, religious, or any other beliefs or demographics you may hold, the majority of questions are blatantly partisan and irritatingly volatile in purpose. "In general, who is smarter, men or women?" Welp, 62% say men. As a man I am still irritated by questions like this! Deleted this app after answering less than 10 questions. You need to filter questions so that they actually apply to the category they are in. Why am I answering political questions in the "Lifestyle" category? Disappointed... this app looked like it had great potential.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2016-08-31, version 1.5.1*

I've seen hot steaming garbage before but this is ridiculous! This app is great if you need a safe space for your grandparents who get triggered whenever anyone challenges their bigotry and narrow world views. Don't be surprised when this app dies of old age like its user base, particularly when the only 'celebs' using it are talk radio people- the only medium struggling harder than TV! If you're old, and white, and your name is Sean Hannity or Phyllis Schalfly, get this app. Otherwise, download something like Would you rather, cause this app is just full of olds!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fun and interesting

*2019-12-04, version 1.9.3*

The app is fun and interesting. I wish they showed the total number of respondents and those who swipe up to skip a question but other than that it is great. The results in the political section, however, will make liberal tears flow like it was 2016.

### 5/5 — I think Zip Poll USA is good.

*2019-11-16, version 1.9.3*

I think Zip Poll USA is a good one on the Apple App Store. It is useful.

### 5/5 — Finally REAL polling representing we, the people.

*2019-07-15, version 1.9.3*

This app is as real as it gets. How many times we see multiple polls coming from fake propaganda outlets like CNN or MSNBC who broadcast hostile fabricated stories all the time, and we wonder “how come I have never been polled or asked anything” well, this app allow us all to answer and voice our opinions, the REAL opinion of the vast overwhelming majority of Americans. It even allow people to create their own questions for others to answer. This is a great American app. A voice for those who don’t have microphones or cameras.

### 5/5 — “Points” Make App More Fun Than Ever

*2018-09-19, version 1.9.2*

I have had and used this app from the beginning and love it, but now with the points system it’s even more addicting. I’m excited to get enough points for prizes. And with the new website I can gain a more in-depth understanding of the topics I vote on. The web site provides a new and much more entertaining way to get the news while it’s hot. Although I am not extreme in my political opinions, I do lean left and often feel outnumbered on Zip. Not sure why that is but it’s not a deterrent for me. It will be interesting to see if and how that changes as time goes on.

### 5/5 — New Points are addictive!

*2018-09-13, version 1.9.2*

I already loved Zip but now the addition of earning points makes me want to get on there everyday. I actually learn about trending news first on the app. The users are ahead of the mass media on current events. It’s also cool to see how people feel about what’s happening in the world. Politics is a strong category as it is in our daily lives so I feel informed after using the app. Thanks Zip!

### 5/5 — Great Marketing App

*2017-06-24, version 1.6.5*

This app is amazing! I own a hair salon and marketing has become ever so challenging to advertise in today's social media. This app has allowed me to ask questions that pertain directly to what our consumer would like or not!
Very helpful tool and helps save time and money trying different things in advertising.
Thanks Zip

### 5/5 — THIS IS A BLAST OF FUN! EXCELLENT!!!

*2017-03-25, version 1.5.1*

If you wonder about anything it gives you a poll from people on it by their answering your question. You get polling answers and you can give answers to others questions.
It is a lot of fun and gets you thinking! Helps you in your own decision making as you help others in theirs!
It's a win-win for all Zip members and it's FREE!!

### 5/5 — Mr.

*2016-09-25, version 1.5.1*

This is a very fun app. The percentages take a little while to figure out, because the two part answers begin at 50% to 50% rather than 0% to 0%, but after a few weeks you figure out how it's working. The Liberal users are of course upset that they can't promote their agenda, so that's why you see their silly comments here. It's just fun, but I've learned some things about women's thinking, for example, that I hadn't realized, and I'm no spring chicken. I believe the anonymity allows people to be more truthful than they might otherwise have been. Good app!

### 5/5 — Entertaining app

*2016-09-05, version 1.5.1*

Lol... These negative reviews are great. Just goes to show you that most of them are from Trump haters. You would think that they would stay to balance out the poll, apparently not. Poor liberals need to find their safe place. This app is actually really fun. Lots of other categories to choose from besides politics. So ignore the negative reviews and try it out.

### 5/5 — Not a polling app and not bias

*2016-08-21, version 1.1.3*

This app is not bias, and not a polling app, it is an app to answer random questions. All the leftist people will say that there 1 poll question is bias because they won't believe that 81% of people who answered said they like trump and 19% said they like Hillary, so just shut up because your a democrat who can't handle it when true poll results come out
