As a case manager, I am able to communicate with various disciplines in the hospital setting. I am able to do discharge planning right from the app. Notifications happen in real time. Not only do you see the dictation, you can also listen to the sound bite where the doctor or other specialty dictates straight from your phone! No 800# to dial in, everything is done right on the app! It’s a great tool. Really nice interface that facilitates patient care painlessly across multiple specialties. This is the worst. It’s terribly slow. It freezes. I envisioned the servers for this company being in the owner’s basement. Our group finally chose Google Hangouts in G Suite. Yes the chat messaging is HIPAA compliant and there is a BAA you sign with Google. It’s as fast as iMessage, WhatsApp or Viber. Google has extensive servers and support. Yes it costs money but it torches this platform and all others. ### 5/5 — Excellent in-hospital communication *2018-05-21, version 8.0* Lots of findings needing receipt confirmation from a physician or other ancillary staff member. This app is impeccable for that. Saves so much time and my support staff is happier too, not having to fax as many reports or get doctors on the line. I am so thankful when I need to communicate with a doctor and know they are one who uses ZipDoc! It has stream lined my transition of care from Hospital to SNF and Dialysis units. I also use it to continue treatments in the clinic that were started in the hospital. The option to have social workers and case managers on board really help getting patients assigned to dialysis units and post hospital clinic appointments. My group has three inpatient physicians, one NP, one out patient physician, and an office manager. We can all communicate at the same time regarding a patient without me having to make several phone calls. Overall I’d say this app has greatly improved the care we provide.
