And at 1/100 the cost of T-Mobile. *2026-07-06* Long ago, people could make cheap int’l calls by calling a toll-free number, entering a long PIN, the foreign number and hoping they didn’t type anything in wrong. Those days are gone. ZippCall is the same thing only better, because it comes with an app and a simple phone dialing interface and no PIN to remember. And, it costs $0.02/minute to call Portugal from the US, instead of $3.00/minute with T-Mobile. I figured I was going to be on hold for a business call for at least three minutes, so I might as well take my chances and spend $10 on ZippCall just to see if it worked. It did. The only downside that I see is that my caller ID doesn’t show my number to the person I’m calling. On the other hand, is that worth $30 to me for a ten minute call? Um, no.
