## What is Zirv?

Zirv is a workout tracker built for hybrid training: strength programs with RPE and automatic progressive overload, plus running, in one app for iPhone, Apple Watch, and the web.

Plan. Lift. Run. Watch the numbers move.

Most fitness apps pick a lane. Zirv doesn't. Whether you're a lifter who runs on off days, a runner adding strength work, or someone doing both on purpose, your training lives in one place instead of two apps that don't talk to each other.

STRENGTH TRAINING, COACHED
Build real programs, not just workout logs: phases, weeks, and days, with RPE targets, supersets, and alternates. Zirv tracks your estimated 1RM trend and adjusts your working weights as you get stronger (progressive overload), then pulls back the load on schedule so fatigue doesn't wreck your next block (auto-deload). No spreadsheet required.

RUNNING, TRACKED PROPERLY
GPS-tracked runs with pace, distance, and route, sitting next to your lifting data instead of living in a separate app. See how a heavy squat day affects tomorrow's easy run, or how a hard week of running shows up in your bar speed.

ANALYTICS THAT PROVE IT'S WORKING
Charts and trends for estimated 1RM, volume, and personal records over time, so you can see whether a program is actually producing results instead of guessing. If a block isn't working, you'll know before you've wasted six weeks on it.

NATIVE iPHONE AND APPLE WATCH
A real native Apple Watch app for tracking sets, reps, and runs from your wrist, built alongside the iPhone app instead of bolted on afterward. Plan your next block from the web app at a desk, then execute it on your phone or watch at the gym.

WORKS WHEN THE GYM WIFI DOESN'T
Zirv is offline-first. Log a set, finish a superset, or track a run with one bar of signal in a basement gym, and it syncs the moment you're back online.

SHARE PLANS, STAY IN SYNC
Share a program with a training partner or client as a linked copy. Update the original and their copy updates too, so nobody is training off an outdated PDF.

1,171 EXERCISES, FREE
A full exercise library with instructions, included in the free tier. No paywall on the basics.

Available in English, Danish, German, Spanish, Finnish, Norwegian, and Swedish.

Free to start, with a 1-month free trial of Pro. Pro adds unlimited plans, plan sharing, and the full analytics suite. Cancel anytime, no phone call required.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.5.2 — 2026-08-26

CIRCUIT TRAINING
Build your workout as a circuit: line up your exercises, set the number of rounds, and move through them back to back. Want to race the clock instead? Run it as AMRAP and squeeze out as many rounds as you can.

SHARING, ON YOUR TERMS
Workout sharing is now off by default: you decide which sessions the community sees. A new share button also lets you share a past workout whenever you like.

A REST BUZZ YOU CAN TRUST
The rest timer now buzzes your phone the moment rest ends, even when your screen is off or the app is in the background.

SHARPER IN-SESSION TRACKING
Hold timers count down with proper cues, timed and bodyweight sets log correctly, and outdoor runs handle short stops more gracefully.

Plus a stack of smaller fixes and polish.

### 2.5.1 — 2026-08-01

A SESSION THAT GUIDES YOU
Strength workouts now keep one set in focus. The set you are doing sits on a big hero card, finished sets collapse to a single line, and a rest timer counts you into the next one, with a skip for when you are ready early. A new progress rail shows exactly where you are in the workout.

A REBUILT PLAN EDITOR
Building a plan got a full redesign. Weeks, days and training phases live in one block navigator, and a new set console makes editing fast: plate-sized weight steppers, reps or seconds per set, AMRAP, and one tap to apply a change to every set.

A FRESH DASHBOARD
A redesigned dashboard and sidebar make getting around the app faster and put your training week front and center.

BETTER BATTERY LIFE
Workout tracking now uses noticeably less battery, so long sessions and outdoor runs leave more charge for the rest of your day.

APPLE WATCH AND AUTO-DETECT, SHARPER
Actions on a detected workout now land reliably from your wrist, declining works with a simple tap, and the app stays quiet until you actually accept a detected workout. No more spoken cues for sessions you never started.

Plus a stack of smaller fixes and polish.

### 2.5.0 — 2026-07-22

COMMUNITY IS HERE
A new Community tab: follow other lifters and runners, browse a feed of their finished workouts and runs, and give kudos or leave a comment. See a plan you like on someone's post? Save it as your own with one tap.

COMPETE
A weekly challenge and leaderboards. Pin the metrics you care about (distance, pace, and more) and see where you stand against the people you follow.

FIND YOUR PEOPLE
Search for friends, get suggestions, and manage your following and followers. Invite a training partner with a QR code straight from your phone.

SHARE YOUR WINS
Turn a finished workout into a clean share card for your story or group chat, with a scannable code back to the app. New social preferences let you control exactly what gets shared.

CARDIO, MORE DEPENDABLE
Auto-pause now reliably pauses the whole session and resumes when you start moving again. Time and pace no longer count paused minutes. The Live Activity heals itself if it drifts out of sync, and the spoken summary at the end of a run no longer gets cut off mid-sentence.

Plus redesigned feed cards with route maps and PR spotlights, and a stack of smaller fixes.

### 2.4.3 — 2026-07-19

A redesigned cardio experience:
- New live screen: swipe between your stats and a full-screen map.
- Clearer controls: pause, see your splits, resume or finish in one place.
- New completion screen: hero map, split bars, and heart rate zones.
- Fixed a duplicate cursor when entering strength sets.

### 2.4.2 — 2026-07-14

This update makes your training data smarter and your audio coach sound more natural.

- You can now mark a set as assisted, perfect for assisted pull-ups and dips. Zirv counts the load you actually lifted, so your volume, personal records, and progression suggestions stay honest.
- Voice announcements got a big upgrade. Cues and workout summaries are now spoken as full, natural sentences, and Zirv automatically picks the best voice installed for your language. For the most natural sound, download an enhanced voice in iOS Settings under Accessibility, Spoken Content.
- Completed sets are now locked, so a stray tap can no longer change a set you already logged.
- Better walk detection: fewer missed walks, and fewer false starts while you're standing still.

Thanks for training with us.
