A cliffhanger is on every chapter and you can choose about half of the decisions. It’s also more age appropriate than Episode and other apps. However, it takes two hours to keep playing games and some of the choices you need gems to get. Gems are a lot easier to get than other apps but still pretty hard. The wait time does bother me a bit but I get the need for a profit. Again, love the storyline and characters just hate waiting. ### 4/5 — Great story but ends too soon *2020-11-22, version 2.6.12* Seasons 1-6 were great. Compared to the other games I have played like this....this ones tickets and gems were readily given and obtained by minimal funds. Speaking on Seasons 1-6, I am a huge fan of the characters, story lines and most of the decisions you are able to make. I really don’t like the fact that Season 7 starts off in a new location, with new people, none of the old people and I didn’t even recognize Zoe till they said her name. I just started Season 7 so I cannot comment on that story line, etc as of yet. So far it has been a great game that has captured my attention, my time and my money. I would give it 5 stars if it weren’t for the fact of what it does in Season 7. ### 4/5 — Pretty great! *2020-02-27, version 2.6.12* This is a blast! I love that you don’t have to choose the diamond option, it’s not like the storyline suffers. Also like that you get the percentages of people who chose how you did. I’m on Chapter 3 and loving it. I don’t even mind that each ticket takes 2 hours to get, it’s worth it. The tickets and diamonds are rather expensive, but I get that app developers have to pay bills too! 😜 ### 5/5 — Zoe *2019-11-15, version 2.6.12* I think they did an amazing job with the characters and plot this game really keeps things interesting the pricing is reasonable and it has 9 seasons I’m actually re playing this game and It still feels like the first time I played it I hope they come out with another series similar to this one!! ### 5/5 — 4 and a half stars *2019-10-27, version 2.6.12* This game is really addicting and I enjoy it a lot!! That only thing is that I wish I didn’t have to wait 2 hours for 2 tickets!! I know that you can buy it with money but it would be great if it had a less wait time for them!! I always keeping track on when I get my next ticket to con tiniest the story! ### 5/5 — Pretty good *2019-10-05, version 2.6.12* (For the story Zoe) From what I have played so far the storyline is decent. I may not agree with what the MC does half the time but the animation is fluid enough that the cheesy actions/ Dialogue doesn’t bother me much. I remember playing a couple chapters of this a couple years ago and I was mesmerized. Being older I’ll say that the way the teens communicate does bother me. Knowing how other teens and I act varies makes some of the dialogue, as I said before, cheesy or sometimes hard for me (personally) to read. Through and through it’s a good app. I won’t banter about the tickets reloading every two hours- from 4+ years of playing these kind of games 2 hours is usually the time they give you tickets. Game developers need to make an income somehow so I won’t complain about it. The werewolf storyline (for Zoe) has been done a lot but I’ll say this app gives a little bit of a breather to the MC falling instantly for the guy. (Given what you choose, you can or, in my case, don’t.) ### 5/5 — Best Interactive Story! *2019-09-29, version 2.6.12* I absolutely love the plot of the story. The graphics are the best I’ve seen for mobile games thus far. I cannot wait to read more from The Other Guys! They do not disappoint! I love the choices for the MC and how you really feel like you are shaping her life. Thank you for the amazing interactive experience. For those who play the game, don’t be stingy and invest in it! The only inconvenience to me is that you have to wait 2 hours to get a ticket to watch a new episode. But I can understand- it’s supposed to create suspense. It would be better if you the wait time a little shorter ### 4/5 — 🐺I love the interesting theme!🐺 *2019-03-30, version 2.6.12* In episodes, it’s more about meeting guys and making out ( which is stupid ) but ZOE is more about magic and werewolves, which in my opinion is awesome because werewolves and magic are my 2 most additive topics in a game. My only problem is how short the episodes are and that you can’t design your own character. I would prefer 20 minute episodes and a customizable Zoe, but other then those 2 things, I find it very imaginative!🐺🔮📿 ### 5/5 — Sad to be over *2019-02-12, version 2.6.12* I have been with this story for a good while and I’m pretty impressed with the stories length especially (spoiler) for the comeback when she is older. I am very sad to see it end and wish it never ended but eventually everything dies...It was such a fantastic story and I thank the creators for taking the time to make this wonderful piece. Definitely my favorite interactive story so far. I would give it 10 stars if I could. This story reaches my heart and I never want to put it down. ### 4/5 — OMG!! *2019-02-01, version 2.6.12* I absolutely love this game!!!! I do have some suggestions. The first one and I think the episodes should be longer. Second suggestion I have is that it should take a shorter amount of time to replenish your tickets so that you can play it more. I give it a 4/5 ### 5/5 — Better than episode? *2019-01-14, version 2.6.12* Gem choices are actually reasonable, there’s a Good amount of FREE decisions to choose from too, and great quality stories to play aside from the initial one given to us in the beginning. I’m loving how they shift art styles with each different story AND that we are given an opportunity to actually interact with some of the items(like in one of the stories, you’re able to help search for a missing ring by searching through the room). The animation too for ‘zoe’ is astonishing all on its own. Maybe with some more work and time given into the production of creating an abundance of other stories and genres to play, this game will surely go sky high in its ratings! :) ### 4/5 — the app is pretty good *2019-01-03, version 2.6.12* i just started to play and i see how it is so easy to get hooked. it is set up similar to Netflix’s tv show episode selection and has multiple seasons to play. The choices are interesting, i just wish it didnt cost so much and it wouldnt take so long to choose the premium answers because they cost extra. other than this i think i might get addicted to this game. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Season 7 killed it *2018-11-23, version 2.4.9* All of the characters you know and love are gone once you hit season 7. Matt, Lucas, Carla and Francis are all gone!!! They throw all of your progress away and dump in a bunch of new characters no one cares about. Even taking season 7 out of the equation the entire game is full of grammar errors and glitches. I can’t tell you how many times the game pans to a new scene, only for the characters to have no eyelids. There’s a lot wrong with the game and I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. The only thing I did appreciate were the cinematic cut scenes at the end of some chapters. ### 1/5 — Season 7 Ruins Everything!!! *2018-10-05, version 2.4.8* I am extremely disappointed in Season 7! The whole reason I have stayed with Zoe for so long is because of all of the characters that I grew to know and love. Then all of the sudden, they completely change her life! With zero reference as to where she is, what she is doing, or where any of the previous characters are. It’s completely disconnected to the rest of the series and might as well be an entirely new series. However, it is one that is far less interesting. I am disappointed that they introduced all of these new characters so quickly without any back story of how she knows them. I also hated that she is already in a relationship that we did not have a choice to be in!! Where is Gala?? Where is Joe and Tom?? They left Season 6 with an ending that seemed like it would continue with our same characters.. however this stark change is depressing. I’m done with Zoe now. ### 2/5 — A bit annoying *2022-03-02, version 3.0.2* It’s slightly annoying because you only get two tickets max and it takes quite some time just to get one ticket. You’re only given 1 gem after every episode and when they give you the option to use gems on story choices the cost is 20 gems so it’s nearly impossible to make a choice other than the one that is free. They need to find a way to give you the option to get more free gems and tickets. And need to cheapen the cost of story options with gems to a more reasonable price ### 2/5 — Good story, bad characters. *2019-07-07, version 2.6.12* I love the plot of the story. The story seemed really interesting but once I got to play it seemed to ask who i “wanted” and I was like really excited but then she went after Lucas which I really wanted Matt and it used to get me mad. Then Matt’s behavior started to change and i couldn’t keep going forward with the story. But then Zoe started getting greedy thinking she can get both? In conclusion, the story was good but the characters personality where so greedy and annoying. ### 2/5 — Love The Story, Hate The App *2018-12-31, version 2.6.12* Honestly, I’m very fascinated in the story...but I’ve played other interactive story games like this...and this one follows the worst kind of pay plan. I’m a person who genuinely believes in supporting apps that i enjoy, and that give an option to play both for free or paid...which this one ‘sort of’ does. I’d be willing to pay for tickets to play episodes...but paying for tickets and paying to be able to make certain decisions is ridiculous. TaleTell stories are about $20 a pop, and you can play them over and over. If I play the same episode over, you don’t earn anything new, and it costs 20+ diamonds for every ‘risky’ decision. I’m not trying to pay $100 to see one story. There’s another game I play where you spend energy for every single decision you make, and you earn energy every day or you can pay for more energy. I wish this game used either of these methods; I’d be more than willing to spend money on it. I paid for diamonds one time on here, because I support developers and the story is good...but I refuse to pay over and over again. Y’all should take into consideration your users and their experience as well as your pocket book. Not just one or the other. ### 2/5 — Really? *2018-09-07, version 2.1.7* I had seen this game a few months ago but didn't download. I continued hoping from Choices to Chapters--so on, so forth. When out of options, I finally came back here. Read the reviews, watched the trailer, glanced at the summary, etc. I had originally assumed it was set up like Choices, my favorite game in the genre, but, turns out, it wasn't. While I haven't completed it, I'm sure it's a good story, by the whole set-up of the game is kind of crappy. Or, at least, not my style at all. Me being me, I can read words--correctly--as they appear on my screen at at least 45 mph. So, when I got this, it gave me all the little scenes and visuals and stuff, but that sort of saps the booklike beauty out of it. A good game. Just not my cup of tea. Or, shall I say having terrible puns, a cup of *insert Tequila song* Tequila! God help me. ### 3/5 — Can’t save!! *2022-07-20, version 3.0.2* I keep having to start over because I can’t make a login and sign into a account. I’m tired of starting over every time I get a new phone or something. It’s annoying. I think I was really far last time now I’m back on episode 1. Make it to where you can Sign In with Apple please. I have all of my games saved with apple account. ### 3/5 — Steady by jerks *2021-07-15, version 2.6.12* So far, I’m hooked on seeing what happens next in season 1… what is getting me is having to take 2 hour breaks after every chapter, & also how slow the gems build back to unlock the enhanced decisions. I would’ve rather bought the app to have unlimited decisions & be able to go at my own pace, than to only be able to do a couple chapters a day, & not be able to make enhanced decisions without having to use real money… ### 3/5 — It’s okay *2019-03-15, version 2.6.12* I love the animations, graphics and music! Visually appealing I must say but as forwards the gameplay itself it isn’t really up to you as to how the story progresses. You can’t choose to be single or even flirt unless you pay diamonds and even if you do you end up with Lucas who I am not a fan of... The stories are too short and are about 5-7 minutes. The game just isn’t dynamic enough, I would give a better rating but this game is a rip off and is up for diamond grabs but telling from the statistics of how many players are actually choosing the diamond options are EXTREMELY low. We see through the cheating ways which is why we don’t use diamonds on the pathetic choices you guys give. ### 3/5 — 👏 *2018-10-08, version 2.4.8* The story is really good and I'm liking the app a lot. I just wish that I had more tickets. Now, I would have rated this app 4 stars, however, I was at season 2, episode 13. This morning, when I went to continue it, it backtracked two episodes. I thought, "Ugh, hopefully this doesn't happen again". Then, when I reopened just now to check what episode I was on before the backtracking, I got 2 more tickets so I get to continue right away. I'm glad for being able to continue especially considering the backtrack, but both of these shouldn't be happening. Please fix the backtrack! First off, I first thought when I stared playing, that I could just read the chapters without having to use diamonds or tickets, but as I started playing more, I realized that I use tickets. Now, I am a free player( meaning I don’t spend money on games often,) so my technique is that I read one chapter and wait for the next free ticket to come which takes about 2 hours. I’m suggesting that you could make it just like the diamonds. You get one or two tickets everytime you finish a chapter. I think that would make the game more awesome than it already is. I also think that we could get more than one diamonds after each chapter. I just think this would be a more easier way to spend diamonds because I don’t spend mines often. To be honest I’ve only spender them once and I kinda regret doing that’s but yeah. Other than that I think this is an awsome interactive choice game. I think it’s pretty appropriate so far. No curse words or bad behavior, I’m just wondering what will happen next as I continue to read. The story is so Intresting! This is the best interactive story I have ever done! It has been about a month since I started and I’m already on season 8. One thing I like is the romance drama between Matt & Lucas and Tim & Rivers. In season 7 EVERYTHING changes because Zoe is much older and is in New York and not in Salmons creek anymore. In New York it is really exciting because she has new adventure and meets new people! Whenever you finish Zoe you can do new stories like “Linda Brown”, “Princess by Accident”, and “A Summer in Tuscany”. You also earn diamonds to choose better choices when you do get to choose the decisions for the characters! There are a few grammar issues and I don’t really mind because I still understand them pretty decently. (spoiler) *2020-12-22, version 2.6.12* I finished the final season yesterday, and I have to say after playing through the whole thing, I had a wonderful experience. I loved many characters in the story, and I enjoyed my journey all the way through. However, there were a few things that I didn't like. For starters, I didn't get why some of the gem choices seemed like they don't affect the story or basically wasted your time; more specifically in season 6 onward. The waiting time for two tickets was a bit long, but it was like waiting for the new episode of your favorite series to drop. And lastly, [SPOILER] I never got an explanation on what happened between Zoe & that teen wolf guy (forgot his name) after graduation since I chose the gem choice for her to go with him (wasted gems on that imo). Plus, when I got onto season 7, I didn’t even recognize Zoe at first until one of the new characters said her name...
