Zoho Scanner is a document scanner that helps students, freelancers, and small business teams turn paper into searchable PDFs and images, using text recognition and e-signatures.

HOW IT WORKS

Scan — Point your iPhone or iPad camera at a page and Zoho Scanner finds the document's edges, so you get a straight, cropped scan instead of a photo of a page. Handles multi-page documents and imports from your photo library. Crop, edit, rotate, reorder pages, filter and annotate, then share as a PDF or an image.

Extract text — Text Recognition pulls the words out of a scan so you can edit them, find a document by what's inside it, and share the text as a file.

Translate — Turn a scanned document into any of 17 languages, including French, German, Spanish, Chinese, and Japanese, then send it as a file or paste it in a message.

E-sign — Add your signature, initials, name, and the date to a scan, powered by Zoho Sign, so you don't need a printer and a scanner to return a form.

Organize — Use folders, reminders, and tags to keep documents findable. Zoho Scanner suggests tags from a document's content, and Zia Lens sorts scans into documents, receipts, and business cards, then alerts you when new documents appear in your photos.

Share and automate — Send scans by email or iMessage, or upload to Zoho WorkDrive, Zoho Expense, Zoho Notebook, Photos, or your own cloud drive. Build a workflow once and its actions run in the order you set, so filing a receipt is one tap instead of five.

Update 07/2026: 
seit einigen Monaten funktioniert die Suche nicht mehr. Leider gab es auf meine Anmerkung aus der App heraus keine Reaktion. Ohne eine funktionierende Suche mit OCR ist eine Sammlung von eingescannten Dokumenten quasi nutzlos.
Bitte unbedingt den Fehler beheben, damit man wieder an seine Unterlagen rankommt!

Update 2023: Bin total begeistert, entweder ist die App deutlich verbessert worden, oder ich hab endlich den Dreh raus :-) Ein großes Dankeschön an die Entwickler! Einscannen von Kassenbelegen geht nun quasi von alleine, kein manuelles Aufnehmen und anschließendes Zurechtschneiden mehr nötig, egal, wie lang der Beleg ist. Das geht super fix, die App erkennt den Beleg innerhalb 1- 2 Sekunden und ist auch dann beim Abspeichern sehr schnell. Die Volltext-Suche funktioniert auch sehr gut, allerdings nur aus der obersten Ordnerstruktur heraus, nicht innerhalb eines Unterordners.

Je rédige cet avis car je suis très mécontent. D’après les conditions d’Apple, on est pas obligé de créer un compte pour pouvoir utiliser l’application. Ceci est respecté à moitié. En effet, faut se connecter pour importer un fichier. Ce qui est scandaleux. De plus on nous demande le numéro de téléphone ce qui n’a rien à voir avec l’application et qui n’est même pas important. Je déconseille fortement cette application, je vais en profiter pour le signaler à Apple pour non-respect des condition général.

After installing and registering on this document scanner app, the initial experience seemed fine with its basic features working correctly. However, a serious problem arose when I tried to delete my account from within the app. Even though there is a clear option in the app for deleting an account, the deletion process does not work. No confirmation is received and the account remains active, despite repeated attempts.
This kind of behavior is suspicious and raises serious privacy concerns.

I downloaded the app and used a t for the first time … unlike the preview shown in the store, the app doesn’t show many features. I was unable to save the scanned document to any folder or to any other app or location … need improvements

I am shifting to Zoho from AdobeScan, though the scan feature is satisfactory, cropping the scanned page is having glitches. Also add “erase tool” in this app to simply clean unwanted section by white or page colour.
