Calls do not come in when the phone screen is off. What is the point? The most critical issue is its inability to maintain a connection. The moment you switch to another app or the phone locks, Zoiper disconnects from the server. This means you miss crucial calls and notifications, as incoming calls simply don't ring. There are absolutely no push notifications, regardless of how much you pay, rendering the app useless for receiving calls unless it's actively open on your screen. To make matters worse, the support is non-existent. You are entirely on your own when issues arise, with no help or guidance whatsoever. It feels like throwing money away for a service that simply does not work as advertised. Save yourself the headache and look for an alternative. I upgraded to premium using the in-app purchase in order to get the encrypted calling feature. No features were enabled. I reached out to the developer twice over the course of a week but received no response. Too bad because I otherwise like the product. I figured the choice of provider is immaterial because SIP is a standard. Zoiper will not stay registered with Callcentric. I can't get my business calls on my smartphone with this app. I tried another softphone app today and it stayed registered all day. When my desk phone rang so did my smartphone - just not with Zoiper because it's somehow incompatible.
