They looted money from me. First they informed me that everything is included in rent but they added additional charges to the rent everytime and calls it maintenance fees and electricity fees and that they add and can be modify. So there’s no guarantee that they are charging the exact amount. I had to serve notice period even when I was jot in the property because the security deposit was so hefty. They even charged extra amount for the 10 days as it falls under the 30 days notice period so the extra 10 days of the next month need to be paid even if you ate existing the property on the last date of the previous month. The service is bad anything that happen that has to be through the customer care and they don’t corporate at all. ### 1/5 — Worst App – Fake Reviews & No Support 😷🤮🤮 *2025-06-16* I’m writing this so no one else has to go through what I did. This app is completely manipulated and dishonest. It blocks any negative reviews and only allows fake 5-star ratings, so new users fall into the trap. I tried posting about my real experience in a PG that had water leakage, filthy rooms, stray animals messing up the place, and extremely high electricity bills (₹900–₹1000 per person!) — but the app refused to publish it. Even worse, the PG management was rude and money-minded. When my room got flooded because of building issues, they took forever to respond, and then had the audacity to charge me penalty for shifting rooms. They promised support and fairness at the time of joining, but later, everything was a lie. No deposit refunds unless you follow their twisted terms — even after completing 12 months, they ask for a 30-day notice or they keep your money. And guess what? This app protects those PGs by deleting or rejecting genuine complaints. That’s not just bad business — it’s dangerous. People trust these apps to find a safe place to live, and this one actively hides the truth. If you care about your money, health, and peace of mind — DO NOT use this app. It’s a scam, and it puts people at risk. ### 1/5 — Issues in Rent Payment *2025-03-06* This is one of the irritating experience with Zolo App. The developer of this app don't coding and stuff from last 4 months i am not able to pay rent properly the upi doesn't work. Whenever i enter my upi number in Razorpay the payment doesn't go through each time. They have Payu option also but that only shows empty screen and razorpay is adding extra charge for payment via UPI. I don't understand why i am paying this charge and the app even doesn't work at all. This is very frustrating and irritating. If you are a apple user just avoid this app. I mean they can't even handle a single app how will they manage PGs then. They don't have a expert coder it seems. I have raised ticket also but no reply or same replies even though i am regularly facing issues. My device details are iphone 16 pro max and ios version 18.3.1 ### 1/5 — Fraud!! *2025-02-15* I stayed in Zolo Tulpar, Bangalore for almost 50 days. They will tell you the amount you need to pay to stay, and when you do pay, then comes the extra 900+ agreement fee and 2300+ exit charge. Exit charge is fine. But they won’t even mention this much agreement fee before. Moreover, I got charged more than 5 times the amount for electricity(common area/kitchen) than i used in my own room, where I didn’t even go once. Most importantly, the property manager and his wife used the common kitchen every day for 2 to 3 hours(collectively in morning and evening for cooking their food), when i raised the issue, they stopped picking up my calls. I was about to come and stay again next month, but not after this incident. I won’t ever stay at any of the zolo properties and would suggest anyone and everyone i know, not to stay there. Fraud is all they can be. ### 5/5 — Wow *2025-01-29* Zolostays is the perfect platform for finding affordable and comfortable accommodations. Highly recommended! I recently moved to a new city and was lucky enough to find Zolostays. Their listings are accurate and the process was seamless. Zolostays made my relocation to a new city a breeze. The app is easy to use and the support team was always there to answer my questions. I had an amazing experience while onboarding. Highly recommended! Their customer service team is too good! For anyone seeking a hassle-free short-term stay, Zolo is the way to go. ### 2/5 — Great scamming services if you are into that. *2025-01-24* Keep sending reminders to pay the rent and demands immediate payment, if delayed for even a day, you will be harassed to no end by the app, caretaker of the property and the emails too. Took 5k just for the exit form, delayed the refund deposit stating reasons which aren’t even correct in the first place. When the time for refund deposit came, they stated the bank details are incorrect where in-fact they weren’t. I still have not received the refund deposit despite getting reassurance from the customer support team confirming a day on which I’ll receive and I still didn’t get it on that day. They have delayed for another 7 working days. Beyond disappointed. ### 1/5 — I don’t recommend you *2024-08-04* I am writing to share my experience on my first day at Zolo and to highlight several urgent issues that need immediate attention. 1. Cupboard Lock Not Working: Upon arrival, I discovered that the lock on my cupboard, where I have kept my personal belongings, is not functioning. This raises significant security concerns. In the unfortunate event that my belongings are stolen, who will be held responsible? 2. Efflorescence on Walls: The walls of my room are covered with efflorescence. This not only affects the aesthetics but also raises concerns about the overall maintenance and hygiene of the room. 3. Mosquito Infestation: There are numerous mosquitoes in the room, posing a serious health risk. If I contract dengue or any other mosquito-borne illness, will Zolo be responsible for my medical bills? 4. Email Verification Issues: I am not receiving the email verification from your end. This is causing delays and inconveniences in accessing necessary services and information. 5. Lack of Switchboards: There are no switchboards near my bed, which makes it extremely inconvenient to charge my devices or use any electronic appliances. Attached are the actual images of my room for your reference. I kindly request that these issues be addressed immediately. I chose Zolo with the expectation of a safe and comfortable living environment, and these problems are severely undermining that experience. ### 1/5 — I suggest you one hundred percent, take a local PG. *2024-06-22* Pathetic experience. I’m telling this to you as a normal IT employee working in bangalore, my honest experience. Even though the rent is reasonable, the EXTRA CHARGES are unbelievable. They deduct the following from your deposit : EXIT CHARGES, LEAVE AND LICENSE AGREEMENT FEE. Exit charges is because you did not stay in zolo for 365 days. I am only waiting for them to include deductions for breathing air and drinking water plus GST. Every thing has a GST. You name it, it has a GST. The room and kitchen has cockroaches. You’ll get an excellent PG for lesser price, with great food. Genuine review after staying in zolo for one month. Never in my life id go there or id suggest anyone to go. I don't know in which way the company is customer friendly. Even the support team is rude, they do not DO NOT AT ALL want to help you. ### 1/5 — Worst services and this app is a fraud *2024-06-15* Recently I paid for a property in Noida and the pics that was sent to me or was visible on app was totally different and when I reached the PG, the room was really very bad. AC was not working properly, there was electricity issue and washroom was really really dirty and no cleaning facility was provided. After all this, I was not only charged with entry amount but zolo also didn’t refunded me my security by saying that there was some exit charge and other useless charges. These people show less rent on app but later on by adding useless charges, they will charge you double. And even the customer support of Zolo is really bad, they talk to you in a very rude way and never help you out. They will just say “Sorry, this is a rule made by our management and we can’t do anything.” Overall the services and zolo is worst and these people are doing fraud. I would advice you not to ever go for Zolo. Please stay away! ### 1/5 — Worst PG Ever! Had the worst experience ever! Don’t stay here *2023-08-29* I stayed in a zolo’s pg in Bangalore in a single sharing room for which the rent was 23,000 per month. Due to bad water quality at the property I got down with typhoid and had to immediately leave the property in 7 days only. I submitted all the documents and informed that I need immediate exit from the property. They deducted one whole month’s rent and 50% of the security amount (11,000) and informed me that this is the decision made by the higher authorities you have no option but to accept it. On top of that they provided my an immediate exit and informed me that you are not allowed to stay or keep your stuff in the property even for the days I have paid for. I tried to reach out to them again and again about it but the customer service staff was very rude and this is not something I expected from a reputed brand like Zolo. So in short I paid Rs. 30,000 for 7 days at Zolo.
