## Newest reviews (10 of 36)

### 3/5 — The idea is good, but the execution is very buggy and chaotic

*2026-02-18, version 2.3.9*

Overwhelming UI/UX, excessive information, and most importantly, clunky and buggy

### 4/5 — Tried it but the tder range is way off

*2025-10-03*

I tried to edit it but the range won’t let me, I guess this is not suitable for short women

### 5/5 — Great fitness app

*2025-08-13*

This is the best health app I’ve ever used. I use it daily to keep my body in line and understand it, and it just gets better and better every week. You don’t need anything else after using Zolt!

### 5/5 — Best app for weight, TDEE, and health

*2025-08-11*

I cut down to 10% body fat with this app and had NO PLATEAUS. The adaptive TDEE is a game changer and the sleep / recovery scores are also extremely useful. Seriously, this has been probably the best fitness app I’ve ever used. Dev also updates and responds super fast

### 5/5 — Really recommend

*2025-07-25, version 1.0.10*

The Zolt adaptive calories are super clutch. Lost 35lbs with it and didn’t plateau even ONCE!!!

### 5/5 — 10/10

*2025-06-13*

I’ve been using Zolt for a few months now, and it’s become a critical part of my daily routine. It's an impressive app if you’re looking to optimize your goals and health habits. I've been using a few other app simultaneously to compare features and Zolt surpasses all of them so I'll continue to use it indefinitely. Would highly recommend!

### 5/5 — I dropped 15lbs using this!

*2025-06-08*

I lost 15 pounds in the weeks leading up to my vacation, felt stronger and more energetic, and built routines I plan to keep long after the trip. I’ve tried plenty of fitness and nutrition apps before, but nothing has worked as well as this one!

### 5/5 — Fun app

*2025-05-18*

I love how this app works ring now it’s still a bit buggy but still works amazingly.

### 5/5 — Highly informative application

*2025-05-16*

I have been using this application from quite some time since it released in beta phase and I must it does provide a really good insight about your body. I am regularly tracking my recovery strain sleep etc and they are pretty accurate to what I am feeling and it does help me in planning my workouts and recovery plans. It is an essential app which can give whoop level information when combined with Apple Watch. Kudos to the developer

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Great concept poor execution

*2026-03-30, version 2.4.1*

The app is buggy beyond belief, it doesn’t import macros stored in Apple health all the time and when it does it’s not accurate.

### 1/5 — Inaccurate Data

*2026-01-24*

Other review about inaccurate TDEE is correct, the calorie goals/burned doesn’t line up with the maintenance/weight loss goals. App stops working every few days if you’re lucky, stops working multiple times a day usually, sometimes FOR multiple days

**Developer response:** Hey! Sorry you ran into issues with Zolt. We’re always working hard on making the better.

If you’re up for it, send me an email at hi@zolthealth.com and I’m happy to help sort this out for you.

### 1/5 — Bait and switch

*2025-07-30, version 1.0.10*

Says free app with paid download add ons. Takes all your health data when setting up account. Then you find out it’s not a free app at all - monthly or annual charge. Totally dishonest.

### 1/5 — Shady Pricing

*2025-05-16, version 1.0.4*

Went to try the app, when the subscription screen is open it says to subscribe at 34.99 a year, but when I go to pay it jumps up to 49.99 a year. They must be hoping that some people won’t notice, terrible business practice.

### 2/5 — So much potential but just doesn’t work

*2026-07-20*

I mean literally does. Not. Work. Data appears and disappears at random, things take forever to load (if they load at all). I completely sympathize with the fact that it’s just one developer doing everything here and that kept me using this app for longer than I would have otherwise, but after a week of infinite refresh/retry/reload, I’m just too frustrated by this app to keep going.

**Developer response:** Hi! I'm really sorry to hear about all the issues you've been having. The latest updates resolve most of these issues and there's an announcement going out soon to explain what happened.

I hope you come back and give Zolt a chance again, there's a lot of great stuff coming up!

### 2/5 — Glitch???

*2025-11-26*

This app will not let me choose my correct weight. Whatever weight I put in, doesn’t matter. It’ll just pick something random. I put in 180 and it said 176.2 as my current weight. I put in 190 and the next page showed 181.7 as my current weight. So I tried 195 and it still says something different. What is wrong with this???? What’s the point of this app if it can’t even recognize the number I’m telling it I weigh. It can’t be that helpful or smart.

**Developer response:** Hi! This is not a glitch, but the way the app works. It is called "Trend Weight" and it takes the rolling 7-day average of your bodyweight to give you your "true bodyweight". This is because your scale weight can jump around a lot, so the Trend Weight helps smooth out the fluctuations.

I'm happy to discuss more over email! You can reach out at hi@zolthealth.com and I will respond ASAP!

### 2/5 — Not what I expected

*2025-09-17*

I’ve been a macro tracker for many years, this one is very clunky to use the food log, seems many very simple things aren’t there. I was also under the impression that I could let it import my cals and weight from health and do the TDEE calculations, apparently not. Also wasn’t even aware it could be free, that must be VERY hidden, so dark pattern it seems.

**Developer response:** Hi, I'm sorry you had this experience with Zolt.

However, I want to address a few things here:

1. You can import your cals and weight from Health. It imports data during the onboarding and in the app itself, you can also pull-to-refresh on any page to import from Apple Health for any date range you wish. In fact, one of the main features I made sure about was to be able to get started seeing your TDEE asap if you already have data!

2. I'm also not sure where you felt that the app could not be free. The paywall shown during the onboarding is optional and shows a "Skip" button to go past it. I've tried my best to make the free version as generous as possible too. I'm very much against dark patterns and it definitely hurts to be accused of something like that.

Regardless, feel free to email me at hi@zolthealth.com and I can help solve some of these issues for you quickly. Thanks.

### 2/5 — Need better food log

*2025-07-18*

The most important part of meeting fitness goal is macro tracking. However nothing I scanned ever matched. I expected my ethnic food to be manually entered but simple ingredients are not even in the database. I often find myself google nutrition and then uploading. Going to stop using this app after 4 days of giving it a try.

**Developer response:** Hi! Sorry to hear that Zolt’s food database wasn’t there for you!

If you email me at hi@zolthealth.com, I’m happy to help out a bit more here and get the database in better shape for what you’re looking for!

### 3/5 — Ugggh

*2026-07-16*

I want to love this app. It has everything I want in a fitness/meal tracking app. The problem it only works for me about 25% of the time. It freezes or gets hung up adding items and then I have to force close it. I have a goal to track my meals every day and it’s already a struggle for me because I find it incredibly boring. When I try to use this app and it takes me about 5 minutes before I can get the correct things to load I’m not going to do it. I’m pretty disappointed. Especially since I paid for a year subscription.

**Developer response:** Hi! I'm really sorry to hear about all the issues you've been having. The latest updates resolve most of these issues and there's an announcement going out soon to explain what happened.

I hope you come back and give Zolt a chance again, there's a lot of great stuff coming up!

### 3/5 — Stopped working

*2026-06-11*

I really loved this app but now for more than a week all of the features I use do not work AHA level, heart rate zones, cardio load, and adjusted maintenance calories all stoped working. They all get stuck in a state of loading and will sometimes flash until a second until the whole app freezes. Making it useless.

**Developer response:** Hi there! I'm sorry you ran into syncing issues! Most of these issues should be fixed in recent updates.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Data nerd’s dream come true

*2026-05-04*

Simply put, this app tracks so many variables and creates near real time analyses on how those variables impact things like your TDEE, sleep, recovery, energy levels, etc. Easily worth the money.

I haven’t used the in app AI for food tracking yet, but I use a separate AI to help me meal plan and track all my intake, then provide me end of day totals in nutritional label format which I use Zolt’s nutrition label scanning feature to input it as one meal at the end of the day.

UI is not always intuitive but workable. Instructions are sparse and it can be buggy sometimes but the developer is *extremely* responsive and seems genuinely enthusiastic about integrating fixes and adding more features.

### 5/5 — Intelligent app

*2026-01-28*

I’ve always been frustrated by apps that give me a static number and expect it to work forever. As someone who values data and real-time progress, I need a tool that’s as adaptive as my metabolism. The app is sleek, smart, and finally gives me the precision I’ve been looking for

### 5/5 — Best fitness tracker

*2026-01-07, version 2.3.1*

I have used a bunch of trackers and this is the best by far

### 5/5 — Finally found my perfect nutrition tracking app!

*2025-12-06*

After years of frustrating experiences with MyFitnessPal's cluttered interface and Cal AI's limited features, I switched to Zolt and couldn't be happier. The difference is night and day.
What sets Zolt apart is its intuitive design that actually makes tracking enjoyable rather than a chore. The barcode scanner works flawlessly every time, the food database is comprehensive without being overwhelming, and the macro tracking gives me exactly the breakdown I need without burying it under unnecessary metrics.
The meal planning feature is a game-changer - something I always felt was missing from other apps. Plus, the insights are genuinely helpful without being preachy or making me feel guilty about my choices.
The app loads quickly, syncs seamlessly across devices, and doesn't bombard me with upgrade prompts every five seconds like MFP does. For anyone tired of bloated nutrition apps that prioritize ads over user experience, Zolt is the breath of fresh air you've been waiting for. Worth every penny of the subscription.

### 5/5 — Solid App for better understanding your own body

*2025-12-03*

Been using the free tier for a few months and then later switched to the premium tier.

The free tier is awesome providing a highly accurate TDEE and syncing with Apple Health Data from any food diary app you use. If all you want to do is lose weight, you don’t even really need the premium tier, which is awesome.

I ended up upgrading to the premium tier because the recovery stats and sleep functionality are awesome. I also wanted the food logging to be easier with the app itself. The predicted energy is also very reliable provided your weight data and food data is accurate. The library of food is not the biggest but frankly that’s where you can use free food diary apps to log what you eat and sync that with your health app.

The premium tier also has an awesome chart showing you the history of your TdEE and predicted energy and especially the difference between your dietary energy and the predicted energy used.

This app makes a lot of useful insights as long as you are honest and upfront about what you eat. And recognizing those insights is the first step to help you realize you can actually make changes that you understand and that you can see are making improvements.

### 5/5 — Digging This App

*2025-11-14*

Loving Zolt so far. This has been a game changer for me. The data it provides definitely improved and continue to improve my overall wellbeing.

### 5/5 — Great App for tracking and motivation but the Adapative TDEE is way off

*2025-11-10*

Found this app randomly and decided to try it out, have a 28 day streak so far. Love most of the features but the Zolt Adjustment feature on my TDEE is pretty annoying. basically a negative 1000 calorie adjustment, which obviously is not accurate, it started happening when I didn’t log some meals while traveling, but since I’ve returned it still hasn’t fixed itself. Based on the scale, im burning a lot more energy than Zolt will give me credit for, so had to switch back to the basic formula.

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2025-10-24*

Love it so much. It has quickly become my one-stop shop for everything health related. I check it daily and have lost 40 lbs since using it. Thank you zolt

### 5/5 — Great, Easy, Informative

*2025-09-17*

I've been using the app for some time now, and I really appreciate how user-friendly it is. It offers a wealth of insightful information that I can use to make informed decisions about my health journey. The features are intuitive, and I've found that the resources provided help me better understand various aspects of my well-being. Overall, it's been a valuable tool in keeping me on track with my health goals.

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for your support!

### 5/5 — Terrific App

*2025-09-06*

This app has been a game changer for me- it can track caloric intake, recovery levels, sleep, and more. I highly recommend it. It’s definitely worth $3/month as far as I’m concerned.

**Developer response:** Thank you very much for your kind words and support!
