## What is Zombicide Companion?

THIS IS A COMPANION APP, TO BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE ZOMBICIDE BOARDGAME BY GUILLOTINE GAMES.

Zombicide is a collaborative game for 1 to 6 players, for 13 years old and up. A game lasts from 20min (beginner board) to 3 hours (expert board).

Each player controls from one to four "survivors", human beings in a zombie-infested town. In fact, "survivors" hastily change to "hunters" to smash zombies through and through. However, the team must constantly keep the balance between survival and slaughter: as the zombicide's going on, the "Danger level" is going up and the infected are growing in numbers. Any misstep can turn to disaster.
Zombicide is a fun and easy game with cool minis in an archetypical, popular and comics-inspired environment. Ambiance is constantly kept between "beat'em up" and "survival horror" as characters keep on turning from prey to predators. Humor and gloom happily marry in a zombie-fest.

The Zombicide Companion App serves as a digital replacement for the Survival Identity Cards used in the boardgame to keep track of each character’s equipment inventory, experience and skills. But the app goes beyond that, offering players some cool extra aids as well.

• A virtual deck of equipment cards allows you to easily control you survivors inventory, switching cards around with a flick of the wrist and no fear of cards slipping around.

• Keeping track of your survivor’s experience has never been easier. Add XP by ticking off what zombies you killed and your Danger Bar is automatically updated.

• As you gain experience and new Danger Levels, your new Skill options are automatically displayed, and the app incorporates any pertinent new game effects.

• Having a hard time keeping track of your actions as you gain new free ones? With the Action Bar, you can tick off each specific action as you take it, so you always know what actions you have left.

• Roll virtual dice for any of your equipped weapons, automatically calculating successful hits according to any combat skills you may have (and with sound effects to boot!)

• Choose any of the Survivor characters, including the promos. Up to 6 Survivors can be managed on the same device.

used to be a great little app but at the moment I can’t restore any of my previous purchases nor can I re- purchase them. Until that’s fixed the app is pretty useless as it stands.

Just discovered this board game and wanted to use this Companion App but you need to purchase the deck which I’m happy to do. But the app doesn’t work. It just says “Could not complete your purchase. Please check your App Store credentials”. Yet they will debit your account and charge you for it.

update this for 2nd edition - even as a purchasable dlc it, I’d be buying the DLC’s and using this all the time then. Real shame it’s not 2nd edition compatible. you can use it with the 2nd edition board, just not the 2nd edition gameplay.

This is a great app but there is so much room for improvement. This app allows for a much more organized game and allows you to add on more game characters and cards from other expansion packs for a small price which I don’t mind. My complaints are there are not enough updates to the game. Not all the expansion can be found in game, specifically the TMNT expansion. I feel like the game should have a copy of the rule book. There should be a toggle option so you can turn off certain characters you don’t have in real life so you wont have to cycle through so many just to find the one you want. This is a paid app and should given more attention from the developers.

I have used this app for a while and am pleased with it. However, it would be much more useful if all of the material/expansions were available. I’m specifically referring to the addition of the ultimate characters, and  the experience deck. The addition of custom characters would be the cherry on top. I am willing to pay for these additions if they continued along the previous pricing.

This app is decent, let’s you keep track of a lot of things that I find tedious to do physically. It saves a lot of table space vs the character cards. After each round it doesn’t automatically move to the next survivor but starts with the same one each time. Very tedious to change back and forth manually. Also issue with iPhone notch covering some buttons

I love Zombicide and have only recently got into it. This app allows you to play quickly without getting all the cards and dice out. Tracking your xp is easy and the sound effects add to the experience. Only hope they update to include the new figures available on Kickstarter.

My family just recently got Zombicide after playing it with friends. Fantastic game. 
The app is nice that it frees up precious table space but it does have a couple of bugs - such as the tap and drag mechanic not always working, sometimes item cards disappear when dragging to your inventory, sometimes mobiles are not able to see games being hosted. 
It could also use a tutorial explaining icons and such - had to figure out the attack UI which was difficult.
