It has such a simple charm and somewhat nostalgic value to it. I remember back in 2014 playing this game on my friends iPad. I recently searched the game up and believe it or not, it’s still here. The only problem is that when I go to play it just takes me to my Home Screen which is annoying because of his good of a game this is. I know it’s unlikely but if the developers ever fix this bug I think a lot more people would hop on! ### 3/5 — Please fix *2021-07-10, version 1.10.10* The game crashes when you fully close the app and try to open it again the fix only fix is to uninstall and reinstall but it deletes data and it crashes after opening it after closing it. Iwould gladly change this to 5 star but the crash disallows me to play. And also zombie highway 2 isnt on the app store for me so i cant play that. ### 4/5 — Incredible game, but it is broken now *2021-04-13, version 1.10.10* Zombie Highway is a incredible game, good graphics, good overall “story” but it just stops working! You install, play for a while. When you head back to play again it just doesn’t work anymore! When you press “start” it goes to iPhone home screen! Can you guys please fix it? ### 3/5 — Please fix your game please! *2021-03-30, version 1.10.10* For anyone just looking at the reviews. This game is awesome, and just as good as its always been. However the developers left it completely broken. The game never opens and just crashes on startup. If it does happen to start, it crashes upon trying to play a level. It only works when you first install the game. If you ever close it after you first install it, then it wont open again, and the only way to fix it is to delete the game and download it once again. And even then, sometimes it doesn’t work. Your only hope to keep progress is to backup the game after every run. In the menu there is an info button that upon clicking, takes you to a menu where you can either back up the game, or restore it. This is your only hope for keeping progress after having to delete it and reinstalling it. And even then, sometimes the restoration process breaks the game and doesn’t allow you to play a game without the usual crash. This game is amazing and always has been. But this fatal bug that has plagued the game is what dropped it to a 4.0. And to add insult to injury, Zombie Highway 2 is not on the App Store. (In my region at least. Im not sure about others.) Devs, please. Fix your game. ### 4/5 — Nostalgic but Broken *2021-03-07, version 1.10.10* You’ve probably seen the other reviews about how this game is broken. You’ll be reinstalling a lot, but keeping the window open is useful, and backing up the game is very useful. In my experience, it only saves the miles traveled and the medals. If you get 500 miles, you get to keep everything important: The Beast, the Minigun, and the M60. I’m pretty sure the Golden Gun can be kept too. You could probably reunlock the flamethrower repeatedly with this setup, but I’m not sure if it’s worth it. I’m thankful that this game is still up, but the time’s running out, so enjoy what’s left before it’s gone entirely. ### 3/5 — Please read *2021-02-27, version 1.10.10* This game is vary good and lots of fun to play but I am having some problems playing it because it would crash every time I would play so I uninstall the game to see if that worked I was able to play it till I closed the game it would start to crash I was reading some other reviews and a lot of people said that the game would crash as well I can not play the game anymore due to this problem PLEASE FIX ### 3/5 — Just 1 update please.... *2021-02-19, version 1.10.10* This game is so nostalgia and fun to play but it has an awful bug now. The game crashes constantly to your home screen and there is no way to fix it other then deleting the game and re installing it. However, I found a loophole to this bug and it kinda drains you battery. Instead of getting off of the game and getting rid of the ‘Zombie Highway’ tab you keep it there. But because of the bug, the game’s just taking up space, being almost unusable. Maybe send out a final update that is very minor and is just bug fixes. You will be appreciated. Turn some attention from your newest game and focus on this old relic that is very good. ### 4/5 — Good Game But A ‘Little’ Screwup *2020-12-24, version 1.10.10* OK, this is a good game and all. I mean, it’s attention to detail and how the hit boxes are made is amazing! How the maps are made with destroyed and deserted cars add to the whole ‘Apocalypse’ theme. This game is a 9/10 at least. But, with your screwed up update, this makes the rating go from 9/10 to 5-4/10. Lets compare another game with the same gameplay style but with a few differences, lets pick ‘Freeblade.’ Freeblade has a good storyline along with other good stuff like map design, character design and the mech you play as. Zombie Highway is kind of like a ‘Level Up For Next Level’ Type Of Game. You Need A Certain Amount Of Miles Or A Medal To Get To A New Map. Freeblade is kind of like that, but you need to upgrade weapons, do missions, and patrols to get a new level. All I’m saying is that, I’m not comparing which one is better, I’m comparing and contrasting all of the differences and same stuff both games have. If you want to make this game better than Freeblade, redo the update, and we’ll all be happy. ### 4/5 — App closing/Game breaking bug *2020-12-13, version 1.10.10* I have been playing this game for a while, and it gives big memories. I remember having every gun in the game, along with the vehicles. I was playing this a couple days ago then came across an issue. Not sure if you will see this review, but i would love to give you 5 stars when you fix your glitching bug. It makes me crash out of the game when i press 'start'. Fix it please! Angry Birds, Cut The Rope, Fruit Ninja, etc. This game is probably one of the best mobile games I’ve ever played, so it’s really sad to see this game in the current state that it’s in, which is unplayable past the tutorial. I used to play it all the time years ago, and I had so much fun with it. I just recently came across it again, and it was a good throwback. It’s a lot better than other games these days because there aren’t many ads. However, for the past month or two, I have not been able to play the game AT ALL because it keeps crashing and going to my home screen every time I press play. This is for sure a 5 star game, but it’s now useless because of this bug. This was the KING of app games and it was easily the best. Free of intrusive ads, tons of fun variety, enjoyable gameplay. But right now the app just doesn’t work. It will work once or twice before crashing and stopping working until you delete and redownload. Please update this. This game is still my favorite app ever. It will let u load into the game and choose ur level and car and guns but, when ur on the gun page and u hit start to play it leads u to a black screen and in the middle of the black screen it says loading and once u load all the way into the playing part it completely glitches out of the entire game and leads u back to the Home Screen. If u could fix the game that would be AMAZING!!! And I would rate the game so much better. ### 2/5 — An amazing game but... *2019-02-25, version 1.10.10* When you finally unlock the hardcore map, you are unable to play the game because every time you load in, it crashes. I know this is a very old game but if possible I (and many other users) would like this crash issue fixed. I don’t know if it’s because I’m using IPhone X but I’ve never had this issue before. Again, amazing game and I would give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the crash issue that makes the game unplayable. ### 2/5 — Great game, but... *2018-03-30, version 1.10.10* This is the most fun iOS game I’ve played in quite a while! Simple but challenging, clean graphics, gear upgrades, and even some strategy. Unfortunately, when I close the game & attempt to re-open it, it goes into hard crash mode, never getting past the gear select screens to actually race. I’ve been able to fix it a couple of times by deleting/re-installing the game. Keeping it open in the background (rather than fully closing the app) seems to work for awhile. Too bad, as this is such a great game. Will try ZH2, but really wanted to keep enjoying this one...if the dev fixes the issue with game-crashing, I would gladly change this to a 5-star rating! ### 2/5 — A MAJOR problem *2017-11-25, version 1.10.10* This game is incredibly fun. I played it for 30 minutes and I decided to take a break. A couple hours later I wanted to play. I clicked on the app, I selected my car, I selected my guns, and I clicked play. But my game crashed. I tried to start it up a few more time and it still didn’t work. I tried more and more but it still didn’t work. I read some reviews but people didn’t have this problem. So maybe it’s just my device. I never managed to get very far though. People are talking about the bug where it crashes after you reopen the app, but it doesn’t happen to me anymore. I don’t know why. Anyways, a trick I learned from the reviews is to go to “Info” and press “backup”. When you delete the app and open it again, you can restore your progress. Remember to backup frequently to keep the backup up to date! Again, the crashing stopped happening to me, and I do not need to re-install the app everytime I want to play again. The game fixed itself, or it just stops happening at a certain point in the game. Hope this helped! ### 5/5 — My childhood game 😭😭🥹 *2023-07-12* I’m now 15 but I remember when my cousin use to come to visit from the Bahamas this game would be our fav, we used to sit outside and play for hours, taking turns whenever someone died. I just remembered this game right now in this moment as I’m writing this, it’s like a whiff of nostalgia and although the game graphics looked a lot better as a kid this game forever has my heart and memories! ### 5/5 — Ninth generation iPad *2023-02-19* It has always been a fun game but with the mini iPad it was constantly being reinstalled. It would cut off in the middle of the best part of the game. I was able to play for a little while but it continued to stop right at the best part. Now the higher IOS VERSION of the iPad it has only cut off one time but I did not have to reload or reinstall. I never tried to discover why it it that. But imagine if more weapons were added, weapons for you to sweat your balls for. That’s what keeps me playing these kinds of games. Black Ops 2 Campaign has many very awesome weapons to achieve that would let you experiment and dominate what were relatively difficult missions. The incentive for me to play more so I can achieve more enjoyable weaponry and the incentive to pass time on a game in which I am a god.
