There is no relationship progress value for him showing as well as his pronouns are mixed up with the Sarah romance storyline. Please fix! Then I’d be happy to adjust my rating. ### 3/5 — It was so good until u had to pay *2017-05-09* It was so good well written story that would've deserved a five star rating if I didn't have to pay. That was a number one downfall mostly because it gets u attached to ur character and then u have to delete because u don't want to buy it. I often caught words misspelt, enough to actually bother me. The only other complaint I had was my ending wasn't all that good. I really do. My only problem is a bug in the village of the aliens (with the nano control device) where if I touch the monitor during the day it doesn't read any inputs. The game then becomes unplayable as I can't leave the screen until I enter something and the game can't understand me entering me anything. Or maybe he had an off day, overall the story is, okay its entertaining at least. - spoiler alert- The whole idea that aliens caused the zombies was... Weird to me, then the fact that they simply returned to normal after everything happened also weirded me out. ### 5/5 — Minor errors, fantastic overall *2015-08-05* I loved this game and as far as I'm concerned it was well worth the £2 you have to spend go unlock the later chapters. There are a few minor typos but it's easy to ignore them with such an amazing story. I was very disappointed when a choice I made resulted in he death of a character very close to mine, and this almost ruined the game for me because my choice didn't seem to have any chance of leading to such an outcome... I actually felt sad!! That just shows how Immersive this game is. Buy it. It's awesome. ### 4/5 — Interesting *2015-07-19* My first text based game. I really liked it. It flowed along, you got immersed in the storyline and it stayed true to its characters. Aliens? Zombies versus aliens? Aliens versus humanity? Not to mention that the story is vastly unentertaining. Far from the par that Choice of Games has set for their roleplaying stories, and even that of Hosted Games. ### 1/5 — Poor effort *2015-04-26* As a text based game they shouldn't have typos. Interesting concept but poorly written. ### 2/5 — Ok *2019-06-26* Ok ### 2/5 — Pretty poor text adventure *2015-10-18* As text adventures go, this wasn't a good effort. Granted, the storyline is detailed and engaging if you are playing it for the first time, but there is little real opportunity to make decisions through your choices except at a few key points in the game. And playing it through more than once means having to wade through pages of text. And if you make the mistake of choosing Sarah as your partner in the game, you can NEVER undo that decision, no matter what choices you make later. She's a really clingy, needy character and makes no contribution to enhancing your gameplay at all. I got bored with it quite early on. All of the characters are one dimensional, I really couldn't have cared less what happened to them. None of your choices made any difference to your relationship stats; none of your abilities (or lack of them) effected the role play. And again, decisions made later in the game made no difference to skills and ability stats. The lengthy and detailed text, the lack of opportunity to make game changing decisions, the one dimensional characterisation and the teeth-grittingly annoying partnership with the vine-like Sarah character, meant I was doing little more than racing through what was left of the story just to get to the end. ### 2/5 — Disappointed *2015-06-23, version 1.0.0* First of all there are a lot of grammatical errors. The game is weirdly written, definitely not something I like. The NPC names are often mixed up. ### 2/5 — Could of been so much more *2015-04-10* This game could of been so much better. Wish it had stuck to zombies like zombie exodus did. I did enjoy the reference to it. Really disappointed ### 2/5 — Not worth the money *2015-03-14* Lots of grammatical errors on almost every page. Also the story feels more and more rushed as it goes on. Another big problem is that you don't really get to know the other characters so it's hard to really care about them. So right from the beginning I expected a myriad of endings.to my disappointment there are only three main endings. There are more than three endings but they are far from satisfactory. Surprising considering in their last game every ending of the was unique and entertaining . Not to say this game is without its charm it just lacked substance. A few spelling and grammar mistakes, while not many are just enough to be annoying after a while. I gave it a two because it felt rushed and unoriginal to the point where they literally took the world they had already created and just added aliens. ### 3/5 — Good story, but lackluster editing *2020-09-11* Story is fun so far, but the editing (capitalization, punctuation, sentence flow) was so problematic that I can’t continue with it. A good editorial pass would make this game shine. ### 3/5 — Pretty fun. A few errors *2017-07-17* I've replayed this game five or six times today trying to get all of the achievements. What I have found is that there is very little variation. So it's kind of if you do a you end up at c but if you do b you either die and restart or you get sort of shoved awkwardly into b. The stats don't seem to make a huge difference and the two sets of stats i.e. Strength, leadership etc and scavenging, (whatever else is in that section) kind of makes it hard to tell what is actually happening. It's a cool game and a neat idea but it could benefit from more choice and variation (and proof reading) ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Not just a zombie game *2022-02-16* I am a huge fan of all the zombie Games this company has created so far, playing them with the anticipation to find an ending most suiting for me, surviving, building a base, leading a group and much more, but this game, despite it’s few grammatical errors here and there felt different, the zombies put far into the background, as the aliens stand foremost, all in all having a business venture in their mind. It is different from all games I ever played in this genre and that is not at all a bad thing. My only complaint is that I would have liked to complete the 25 years of ruling over my continent. I thank you for always creating new games that help me spark up my imagination, improve my problem solving abilities and strengthen my micro-/macro management skills (stats, relationships, chances and failures) all in all a great game in a great genre. ### 5/5 — Fun game *2020-06-24, version 1.0.1* Love the reference to zombie exodus in the first chapter with the cathedral and Tom and mindy haha! ### 5/5 — Favourite Choice of Games *2019-04-27* This has easily been my favourite choice of games as it is so massively varied in its genres throughout the game - you have the ability to create drastically different storylines, which gives it immense replay-ability. I love the fleshed-out characters and felt myself getting truly bonded to them through all their little quirks. Felt deep pangs of guilt for every one I couldn’t save. I’m writing this at 0155h after replaying this game for god-knows which time. I come back to it every so often because it’s just that good. ### 5/5 — The game: *2019-01-27* Loved it.
