### 5/5 — Wow!

*2008-10-30, version 0*

I got this cause the reviews said it good, it's awsome!please let us choose different ships, and add wifi!

### 4/5 — Better than most

*2008-10-26, version 0*

Compared to 95% of games in App store, this one is pretty cool. Yes, maybe needs a tweak here or there but is fun to play. I had to spend a while in the practice area just to learn how to handle the ship!!!! And then you have to fly, fire, defend, dock, mind the radar ect......., no regrets on this one.

### 5/5 — Wow!!

*2008-10-26, version 0*

Great graphics, gameplay, realism! Can't wait to see other games based on this engine. Great game at a reasonable price.

### 5/5 — Best 4 bucks spent on an app

*2008-10-20, version 0*

No I'm not a developer for this game. Just someone who has been burned buying bad apps enough to appreciate a little gem when I see one.

This little game is simple inexpensive but has just enough great game play for a quick pop in when you need one. The controls are smooth and the buttons are well layed out.

I would request a way to recenter your default iPhone position for controls based on different play positions but I am still giving this 5 stars because this game is actually fun and I look forward to fun patches and more games from these guys.

### 5/5 — Absolutely amazing

*2008-10-20, version 0*

This is by far the best app I've ever seen for the iPhone. It took me a minute to find out how to invert the controls, but once I did, the rest was intuitive. The $4 for this game were worth it.

### 5/5 — Brilliant technical demo.

*2008-10-19, version 0*

With a framerate smooth as butter, controls tuned perfectly, this game is definitely worth the asking price. The visuals are reminiscent of the old PC game ELITE and the gameplay is a bit like X-Wing or a 3D version of Missile Command. For the developer's next trick, I'd love to see a campaign mode that mixes in a Wing Commander or Colony Wars style storyline with branching missions and a bit more variety. The technical aspect is rock solid and this engine is ready to be used for so much more. How about a Privateer remake, Horsham?

### 4/5 — Fantastic!

*2008-10-18, version 0*

Great use of accelerometer for controls. I usually don't enjoy space sims as they don't capture three dimensions well, but this one works! Great app for the price. Obvious improvements would be upgrades and interstellar navigation as well as variety of missions, but for the price, this is amazing!

### 5/5 — Fantastic Game!

*2008-10-18, version 0*

This is exactly the game I've been hoping to see: a great 1st person space-based dogfighter. A mix of simulator & arcade, it's an amazing steal at $4. I don't understand why more people aren't playing it. This reminds me a LOT of Colony Wars from the old PS1. The engine shows much promise & could be adapted to all sorts of different games: WW2 or modern dogfighting, interstellar-trading, NASA space simulator...I'd like to see a Galactica shooter. I can't wait to see what any updates might bring.

### 5/5 — The best of its kind

*2008-10-17, version 0*

This is by far the best space shooter on the market to date. All the developers who have made or are planning to make this type of game - Use this game as a model of how these titles should look and play on the iPhone.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2008-10-17, version 0*

Absolutely a great game!!! Great controls, good graphics... One of the best out there... Totally addictive!!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 2/5 — not great

*2008-11-26, version 0*

you can't save and keep starting over

### 3/5 — Best space shooter so far

*2010-01-14, version 0*

I really am addicted to this awesome game. Controls and gameplay are off the charts. Well worth the buy.

One thing: could you make it either a) easier to beat levels or b) allow one to save levels so one could go back to where one left off?

I hate having to restart the whole game from the beginning just to progress forward another level.

Great work guys!

### 3/5 — Awesome

*2009-11-16, version 0*

Awesome. I like it a lot. Love the authentic pictures/background.

### 3/5 — Thanks for fixing

*2009-04-17, version 0*

Thanks for updating and fixing the beeping.

### 4/5 — Great game

*2009-04-17, version 0*

Great game. By far my favorite. Please fix the bug that makes enemy ships get lost so you can't finish the level. Also add difficulty settings as it becomes a little boring after you master it.
Thanks

### 4/5 — A fun game, but...

*2008-12-20, version 0*

This has the potential to be one of the best games in the App Store, if only it would add some sort of story/campaign mode. It has the feel of some of those older space simulaters like TIE Fighter or X-Wing, and with a story, could be awesome.

As it stands now, it's a very fun, very well designed game with great controls and graphics. I had no problems at all with the control scheme, it felt natural, you manuever the iPhone/Touch around and the ship follows, very smooth, very responsive.

It also has a very satisfying increase in the level of difficulty. Whereas some games here go from easy, to medium to hard in as few as 3 or 4 levels (I'm thinking: Topple), this game gradually increases in difficulty, starting with Space Mine which threaten the station but not you, to raiders and alien ships that have it out for you in amazing numbers.

Which leads me to another complaint, I haven't really played recently because I was showing a friend the game and he mistakenly pressed "New Game" which erased my current progress (said 20+ levels), meaning I had to start back at square one, which is basically a tutorial. A save feature on this game would be very, very nice.

But it is completely worth the $3.99, it's fun and it looks good.

(It does, however, being a 3D game, drain the battery)

### 4/5 — Zone Warrior

*2008-12-15, version 0*

Love it !!! You made a great game. Please put user changeable controls on it Also a save game too. It's like my old favorite Elite you can do anything on it. Thanks for a Great game !!!!

### 4/5 — Just fantastic

*2008-12-07, version 0*

It's addictive and fun! It's also very challenging! My only ask for an update is to be able to upgrade your ship!!!

Please allow us to upgrade our ship!!!!!!

### 4/5 — Learning curve...

*2008-11-13, version 0*

...but a solid game. Gets real crazy but at least it's not a mindless shoot-em-up. I find the locating radar a bit difficult to read and use, and I still find it difficult to find fuel ships. In fact, finding lots of things is hard. Can the developer expand it's radar's ease of use or at least instructions so I don't feel so lost. Still a very good game with solid graphics and excellent replay potential.

### 4/5 — Just one issue

*2008-10-31, version 0*

It's terrific but the inability to invert the y-axis makes this virtually unplayable. Please change that one thing for me.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — 5 for a first

*2009-02-27, version 0*

I give this 5 stars for being the first space sim action title. It does get more challenging with each level, and it feels like real dog fighting in space. Love it. Graphics are simple but good. The explosions are nicely done.

### 5/5 — Well conceived and executed.

*2009-02-04, version 0*

Just a great game all around. Gets progressively more challenging. Great mental and skill exercise. I just can't give enough praise- many thanks to deb!

### 5/5 — Super Game

*2009-01-23, version 0*

I love this game and it looks great and I hope they keep adding to it.
Please add a setting section in the menu to invert the controls. So that alot of people
play vide games like us old school folks

### 5/5 — Great space shooter, buy it

*2008-12-28, version 0*

I have had this game for a while, and I keep coming back to it. Silky smooth frame-rate, good graphics, and most importantly, very solid controls. My biggest problem with the game is that it is too easy for a guy like me who grew up during the flight sim golden era. All the enemy ships are slow and die with one hit (except the motherships). A harder difficulty level would be great. All in all, a must-have purchase for fans of the combat flight sim genre who were left behind in the late 90's when the FPS killed it.

### 5/5 — Really fun

*2008-12-20, version 0*

Graffics are great. Controlls take some getting used to, but the more you play the easier it gets. The only thing I would ask to change would be the sound of the engines as you throttle up. It sounds like a muffeled "Jetson's" vehicle. A rocket engine sound would add to the realism.

Nice job. Looking forward to upgrades!

### 5/5 — Great

*2008-12-08, version 0*

Well thought out. Have been looking for something like this for a long time.
My suggestion would be a way to upgrade your ship. Earn money and buy more weapons if possible.
Excellent game.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2008-11-25, version 0*

Like the other reviews say...just awesome. I can't believe it hasn't caught on more. It certainly deserves to.

One thing it needs is a way to center/zero the controls for holding the game at different inital angles. I've seen it on other games like "Chopper". Hopefully it will be added later in an update.

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2008-11-19, version 0*

This is THE 3D space game for the iPhone! Controls are absolutely smooth and silky, and the graphics are top-notch. And no -- I'm not the developer, nor do I play one on TV...:)

One important upgrade for me would be the ability to invert the directional control of the accelerometer, similar to the "invert mouse" option in games such as Quake. This useful addition would make my rating go to 5-stars!

EDIT: Ahem -- I just found the directional adjustment (silly me!), as well as a sensitivity adjustment, so five stars it is! Great app!

I'm really surprised that this game hasn't gotten more attention on the AppStore. Only 24 reviews? Is it perhaps *too* challenging for a lot of users?

### 5/5 — Great game for the iPhone

*2008-11-06, version 0*

Wow! What can I say, this game rocks keep making great games guys

### 5/5 — Holy Snot!!! This is awesome!!!

*2008-11-06, version 0*

If you are looking for a starship game that has great graphics, fun gameplay, a full 3-d playground, and is challenging enough for your mad skills, you have come to the right place. This is the game!!! For four bucks you get a game that is worth all 10 bucks!!! It is highly entertaining to be chasing ships while you are flying through the rings of the space station, while you are being shot at from behind with missiles and laser cannons!!! :) Seven stars to the developers for this marvelous addition to the app store! Keep up the good work!

Oh, and I saw a reviewer who said there was not a place to save, which is 1/2 wrong. I just pause the game (Touch the score on the top middle of the screen) and click exit game. Then when I press the home button, and click back into the game with the "resume game" button, it takes back to where I was. So technically there isn't a save button, but there is a way to go back to the game you were playing.

-Update-
You can actually just hit the home button while you are in the middle of the game. Then just resume game when you enter into the app. Enjoy!
