## What is ZoneFoundry for Sonos?

ZoneFoundry is a controller for the Sonos speakers you already own. Open it on the
same Wi-Fi and it works — no sign-up.

ONE SEARCH BOX, EVERY SERVICE
Apple Music, Spotify, QQ Music and NetEase Cloud Music — no more switching apps.
Results are grouped by service; tap "Artists" to jump to an artist, "Songs" for
tracks only.

SEE EVERY ROOM AT ONCE
What's playing in the living room, bedroom, kitchen and patio — and each room's
volume — all on the home screen. Group rooms to play together with one tap, and
undo with one tap.

JUST SAY IT
"Play five Fleetwood Mac songs in the living room." "Turn the kitchen down."
"Play three tech news stories." English, Cantonese and Mandarin all work, and you
don't need to memorise a command format. You can type instead if you prefer.

BROADCAST TO THE WHOLE HOUSE
"Dinner's ready" — sent to any room or every room, with English, Mandarin and
Cantonese text-to-speech.

LOCK SCREEN, HOME SCREEN AND DYNAMIC ISLAND
Home Screen widgets come in small, medium and large — see what's playing and
pause or skip without opening the app. Lock Screen widgets too. Every room that's
playing also gets its own Live Activity: three rooms, three cards, with artwork
and progress in the Dynamic Island.

ONE TAP FROM CONTROL CENTRE
Add ZoneFoundry's controls and you get: voice request, play the news, stop
everything, run a scene, 30-minute sleep timer, and stop a broadcast that's
playing. No need to open the app.

SHORTCUTS AND SIRI
"Play music in the living room with ZoneFoundry" — in English, Cantonese or
Mandarin. Drop playback, broadcasts and scenes into your own Shortcuts and run
them from any automation.

INSIDE APPLE HOME (requires the ZoneFoundry Bridge)
With the optional ZoneFoundry Bridge installed, each Sonos room can appear in the
Home app as a light bulb: on = playing, brightness = volume. Use it in scenes and
automations.

LET AI CONTROL YOUR SONOS
Connect Claude, ChatGPT, OpenClaw, Hermes — or any MCP-capable assistant — and
ask it to queue music, broadcast, run a scene or set a reminder. Generate a key
in Settings, paste it in, done. No bridge needed.

CONTROL IT FROM A CHAT
Link ZoneFoundry to Telegram, WeChat or QQ and control your speakers from a chat
message — even when you're not home.

YOUR MORNING BRIEFING, OUT LOUD
Pick the topics and ZoneFoundry reads the news out loud in the room you choose,
in English, Mandarin or Cantonese. Put it on a schedule and it just happens.

MUSIC THAT FOLLOWS YOU
Pair a room with a HomeKit motion sensor: walk into the kitchen and the music
comes with you; leave and it drops out.

NO ACCOUNT REQUIRED
Core control only needs your iPhone and speakers on the same Wi-Fi. An account is
only for remote control and syncing across devices.

Requires at least one Sonos speaker on the same Wi-Fi as your iPhone.

The big one: ZoneFoundry now runs on iOS 18 (it used to need iOS 26).

• The assistant understands a lot more ways of asking — news, alarms, reminders, scenes, grouping, sleep timers — in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. "Remind me at 8", "ungroup everything" and "skip to 1:30" all work now, without hunting for the exact wording
• English commands finally get the room right: "play Adele in the kitchen" plays Adele in the kitchen, instead of searching for a song called "Adele in the kitchen"
• Rename a room in the Sonos app and ZoneFoundry follows — no more old and new names side by side. Scenes, schedules and favorites move with it
• Playback status refreshes over your local network first — faster, and less reliant on the cloud
• Playback failures tell you why instead of just doing nothing
• Pick a room straight from the Sonos Favorites menu
• Speakers with no TV input (Roam SL and friends) no longer show a TV toggle
