## What is Zones?

*Weather Information and Lock Screen Widgets require iOS 16 or more.

“What time is it in San Francisco when it’s 3PM my time? Will they switch to daylight savings next week? Alex told me to call them at 8:00AM their time, what will it be for me?” Keeping track of multiple time zones can become challenging really quick, and if you’re not careful, you may show up at your call an hour too early or too late.

Presenting Zones. 
Zones simplifies the process of time zone conversion with a simple and easy to use interface. It takes care of any daylight savings conversions, presents accurate time of day information for each city such as sunrise and sunset times so you know if it’s too early or too late to call your friends. 

iCloud Sync: Zones syncs with iCloud so cities you add on one device show up on all others.

Widgets: Zones’ widgets let you pin time for different cities on the Home Screen.

Weather Support:
In the latest version of iOS, Zones adds detailed weather information for cities added to the app. You can pick a date and time and see detailed weather information about the cities, including information on temperature, humidity and UV Index.

Reminders: You can create custom reminders for different cities. if you want to be reminded of when it’s your friend’s birthday when it’s midnight their time, you can set a reminder for that.


Send Time: Zones offers a smart iMessage app that eliminates the need to say “It’s 8:30PM my time which should be 8:00AM your time”, simply share the time with our iMessage app and your friend will be displayed the time for their time zone. 


Moreover, Zones is free of any advertisements, login flows and pesky tracking systems or analytics. We don’t collect any data and aim to provide you with the best user experience.

Zones is a great app that’s well designed and easy to use. But over $AUD20/year for a subscription? I’d rather pay for a lifetime license instead of having Yet Another Recurring Subscription.

I paid for this app, there is a bug in it. I have written for support many times without any real answer about fixing it.
The bug makes it unusable in my time zone. So NO, DONT BUY IT!

There’s an issue with this app, at least in my time zone. When I click on the “NOW” button, the time is one hour ahead of my time. I have sent several requests to support asking about this issue without any response. The problem is I have already subscribed! Check everything in this app before you give away your money!!

Semplicemente ottima. Molto semplice, immediata ed efficace. Rasenta la perfezione, è diventata indispensabile per me.

I get that developers need money, I’m fine with some new features as a “subscription model” features only but it kind of feels criminal the moment you take free existing or pre existing features of the app and turning it subscription only. (like Aviary 2, scammer dev to be honest)

Regarding the one year free subscription for customers who bought Zones for one time payment, sounds like a slap to the face when Zones has only been around on the App Store for 4 months. Emphasis on the time I meant on the App Store, not time testing and developing before the launch. 

I’m beginning to wonder what features did I pay for initially? As much as I like to think it is nice I supported indie devs, it is pretty sad because I don’t really blame anyone except maybe there is no better solution than a subscription at the moment. 

Sorry dev, not really upset, just had a feeling eventually legacy users will be forgotten because there is no such thing as “legacy”.

Our intent with making Zones free for everyone and making a Zones+ tier is to make a great app available to even more users. As part of that move, some of our existing features wouldn't scale for the number of free users we are expecting. So we have to have them behind a paywall, we plan to add many more features to Zones+.

Our goal is to provide a great free experience as well as a great subscription based experience. We value our free customers just as much we value our subscribers, and our initial customers even more so. That is why we wanted to extend one year of free Zones+, to try all the existing, new and future features planned for this year. Beyond the first year, we hope you'll find recurring value in Zones, but if you don't, we're continuously working on creating a great free experience for Zones, we'll never pester you to subscribe.

One suggestion, as you include the weather, it would be helpful to index towns as well as cities for a more local experience.

When travel planning I need to know various local times months in advance. Just knowing the difference in time now doesn’t work because global time zone adjustments (for example end of daylight saving time in the US) change at different times and some zones never change at all.  

The Zones app solves all of this because you can see the time zone differences for any date and time.  But the real magic of this app is a cleverly designed user interface that is beautiful, functional and easy to understand.  Thanks so much for putting all of this into one app.
