Try it! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Good App, Dishonest Leadership *2026-07-12* Very disappointed in this app. Back in April, we had an issue, and Yoav Oren (the CEO of the company) directly reached out to me. They stated they released a new update, asked us to download it, and personally offered a complimentary membership for the trouble. I did exactly what was asked. I updated the app and even paid for a trial out of pocket just to make sure the fix actually worked. The app itself works now, and my son loves it, but the CEO completely lied about the credit and ghosted us afterward. I sent the requested follow-up email to claim the complimentary membership and got no response. I sent another follow-up in June. Still nothing. It has been nearly three months of radio silence since this started in April. It’s incredibly frustrating and unprofessional when the head of a company makes a direct promise just to get you to troubleshoot their app, and then completely fails to follow through. Great app for kids, but terrible, dishonest leadership. **Developer response:** Hi Kimberly, We're truly sorry to hear that you left feeling disappointed. In fact, it's not uncommon for our CEO to personally step into customer conversations because staying close to the families who use Zoog is one of our core values. After reviewing our records, we can see that we responded to your last message with troubleshooting steps and asked you to let us know whether the update resolved the issue. We didn't receive a response in that conversation, so we were surprised to read that you felt you had been ghosted. If a follow-up email never reached us, we're genuinely sorry, as that was certainly never our intention. Our offer of a complimentary membership still stands, and we'd be more than happy to honor it. Please reach out to us at support@getzoog.com or through the in-app chat, and we'll make sure you're taken care of. We completely understand your frustration. At the same time, suggesting that our CEO intentionally misled you or acted dishonestly does not reflect how this situation unfolded or how we operate as a company. Our goal has always been to make things right, and that remains true today 💙 ### 1/5 — Paid subscription unacessible *2026-04-21, version 1.9.14* I had four months still left on my subscription when they updated app and I lost access to my subscription. Under the help option, I reported the problem. They responded once and then started ghosting me after the problem was not fixed. ### 1/5 — Huge Disappointment *2026-03-29, version 1.9.12* My autistic son saw this app and wanted it SO bad. We downloaded it and went through the process of setting an account up at which point the app just kept force closing over and over. We tried it on his phone, my phone, and dad’s phone. Same thing every time. My son had a huge meltdown because the app wouldn’t work. Wish I could give zero stars! ### 1/5 — They charge unfairly *2026-01-22, version 1.9.01* I subscribed to Zoog in Jan 2025 and paid $62.99 for the year. I thought it would be fun to send stories to my grandchildren. Unfortunately my grandchildren never didn’t get to see many of them so I stopped making them. I thought for sure I had unsubscribed to this app and I forgot about it. I have epilepsy and have had hundreds of seizures and brain damage so I forget easily. This January 2026 I was charged $89.99 to renew the subscription. I was not given any notice that it was going to renew or that the price increased so much. Apple will not refund me despite the app not being used. This is a lot of money and I didn’t expect it nor can I afford it. Have tried for 3 days now. Impossible to join. **Developer response:** Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention.
