### 4/5 — Cool! But!

*2025-01-16, version 2.13.0*

A filter to hide “out of data” projects would make finding a joinable project much easier. Also an All Projects list would be handy.

### 4/5 — App Does Not Remember My Password

*2022-06-30, version 2.8.2*

I really like this app. It is incredibly interesting and fun. But I haven’t been able to sign in as it doesn’t seem to remember my password. I know I’m using the right password as I can log in to the website with it. Fix the security issue and this is a 5 star app.

### 4/5 — Yay mobile classifications

*2021-09-30*

Love it, that I can use Zooniverse on my phone. However, two wishes from my side:
- opening images currently means I need to open them via a small icon and close them via the small cross. A double tap feature to open and then close would really help to access details quicker. Plus the cross to close the detail view doesn’t properly work when you are zoomed in on an image
- space on a mobile screen is very limited, but currently ~20% is wasted on the left and right to an image. It would help to have a larger image to look at

### 4/5 — Good app, but ...

*2021-01-18*

... is there real a white font color on white background in the registration/log process?

### 4/5 — One of the best apps for citizen science, but it really needs a dark mode..

*2020-12-08, version 2.8.2*

This is one of my favourite apps for citizen science projects. The only issue I have is that the interface design looks quite outdated and in dire need of dark mode. Would give 5 stars if that was fixed.

### 4/5 — Wish there was an undo button

*2020-04-11, version 2.7.0*

App is easy and intuitive to use, but I wish there was an undo button for single-click responses so that people can reclassify an image if they misclicked. I think that will greatly improve accuracy.

### 4/5 — Dark Mode Please!

*2019-12-26, version 2.7.0*

Help the Zooniverse family save their phone screens, battery life and more by allowing us to toggle a dark mode! This feature would also significantly reduce eye strain on users who frequently and regularly use the app to contribute valuable information. Thank you!

### 4/5 — Great App but New Update has some bugs

*2019-11-13, version 2.6.5*

I love this app and use it everyday but for some reason after yesterdays update I’m not able to sign in to my account.

### 4/5 — Great but needs Dark Mode

*2019-07-23, version 2.6.1*

I love this app. I use it all the time for several projects. But the app REALLY, REALLY, R E A L L Y needs a dark mode. This is especially true for projects in dealing with Space. The dark images and white backgrounds of the app are very hard on the eyes. It causes noticeable eye fatigue and ghost images in the eye. A dark neutral gray background would be best. If i did not make my self clear... REALLY NEED A DARK MODE.
Tack så mycket

### 3/5 — Great but needs work

*2019-07-11, version 2.6.1*

Getting evolved in the latest and greatest data makes this app the best but the app smoothness is all good but no personalization and missing projects from the website is a bummer. It needs more if they want this app to grow. But who am i?

### 3/5 — Needs much larger project coverage

*2019-06-03, version 2.4.0*

I think an app for Zooniverse is a great idea, but it needs to cover a much larger range if projects to be truly useful. And have a search function.

(I came on to do some Earthquake Detective work, which would be ideal for an app as it needs very little screen space, but for some unknown reason it’s not here.)

### 4/5 — Needs improvements but so good!

*2018-08-24, version 2.2*

Hard to work on specific projects and sometimes the experience is a bit tricky but the service and projects are great!

### 3/5 — Missing many projects

*2018-03-18, version 1.3.3*

Only three areas are shown: Biology, Nature, and Space. MANY are not included. Why? (e.g., arts, history, language, literature, social science are all missing)

Also agree with the other comment: occasionally the app takes you to the browser. Why have an app if many projects do work in the app?

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Got my hopes up ):

*2023-10-10, version 2.9.2*

I know you guys have a small team and I really respect the work you’re doing. However, I cannot stress what a bummer it is to be disabled, stuck in bed some days, and log into the app only to be told none of the projects I’m working on are mobile friendly. None of them??? None of the tasks I’m doing involve more than looking at pictures and clicking a couple buttons. If that’s really the case, it seems like this app is still in alpha and doesn’t really have many features built out. Again, I want it to keep improving! It just feels not quite ready for primetime as-is. I also see the last update was about a year ago, so it feels like maybe this project is on hold, or presented too many challenges to adapt for mobile.

### 1/5 — Good website bad app

*2022-08-27, version 2.8.2*

On the app it is super hard to find projects. There is also no search box. The website is really good though. Check out the website.

### 1/5 — Unable to login

*2018-05-24, version 2.0*

While I very much enjoy the website. This application is extremely slow and so far I have been unable to access the site. I tried using on multiple devices and still have had no success.

### 1/5 — can't get past registration screen

*2018-05-08, version 1.4*

It lets me put in a name and email then won't let me enter a password...

### 1/5 — Can’t sign in.

*2017-12-07, version 1.3.1*

While I have been using the site on my computer, when using the app I have trouble signing in. I’ve reset my password but keep being told either my email or password are wrong. I would like to help while on my tablet, but the hassle is just too much.

### 1/5 — Can't sign in

*2017-08-04, version 1.3.1*

I'm sure it will be good but it won't let you sign in. Needs a fix

### 2/5 — Cool.

*2026-03-19, version 2.15.2*

It’s cool, but also rather slow. 🫤

### 2/5 — Wish I could get past page 1

*2020-12-10, version 2.8.2*

Every time I tried to get to the 2nd page of instructions, it crashes. I loved this on my desktop, but the phone version needs to be fixed!

### 2/5 — Crashes

*2019-12-05, version 2.6.9*

Every time I get to the direction pages it crashes at some point. I love this online but for phone and iPad it needs work.

### 2/5 — Too slow

*2018-05-23, version 1.4*

This app loads slower than just using the web browser. Nice user interface though.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — 100% recommend

*2026-04-23, version 2.15.2*

This platform is awesome! As an undergrad majoring in biology, it’s a lot of fun to be able to help with real-world research!

### 5/5 — Wonderful app

*2020-04-10*

This is a wonderful app where we can help scientists and have fun while doing so its so awesome i spent a whole night on it

### 5/5 — iPhone X test issue!.

*2019-11-27, version 2.6.9*

Biology : just started looking for kelp and found that when enlarging the first picture the back button it doesn’t work!

Love this app as I get to help the kelp lol.
And so educational to thank for creating this....

But ☝️I have noted that people want
More subjects ( as I do.).
I personally would like to take part in human experiments even physical ones!
Like as I have noted on a ted talk thing about people needed to help with chip implants in to body/brain but for to life of me / others/ A.i I cannot find a path way.

Yours a willing experiment vessel
Much love and wellness....!. Chorlie.

### 5/5 — Engage In Real Science

*2019-03-28, version 2.3.0*

Fantastic app that lets ANYONE engage in real science.

### 5/5 — I’ve never had so much fun swiping left and right!

*2018-04-24, version 1.4*

This is an app I don’t mind wasting a lot of time on, unlike almost every other in my phone...it is a cool feeling to know that my swiping is helping scientists and researchers somewhere, somehow, advance causes I care about. My only complaint is that sometimes I swipe faster than the projects can load! Thanks zooniverse!

### 5/5 — So addicting and more fun than a silly game!

*2018-03-17, version 1.3.3*

I love so many of the Zooinverse projects that I cannot let myself log on during work hours. What a great way to participate at home!! Today I have been on a photo safari and took a trip to see whales and dolphins. All while sitting on my couch. AND I get to help with real science projects. Love his app! Can we get “plastics in oceans” on here next, please?

### 5/5 — Nice!

*2018-03-02, version 1.3.3*

I was hoping to find an app for this. I truly enjoy contributing time to ZOONIVERSE projects and this will make it so much easier. One suggestion- a link on main page to the non-mobile site to make it simpler to go to non-mobile projects or check my projects status, etc.

### 5/5 — Great Science App

*2017-09-09, version 1.3.1*

This app is great for scientific practice.

### 5/5 — Help do real research in your spare time!

*2017-01-20, version 1.0*

This easy to use app lets you contribute to real research projects across the sciences and humanities.
