I preferred the original version. Lately my interest has not been paid on time, the benefits don’t show up consistently (e.g. bonus for direct debits) and linked accounts have to be repeatedly re-established. Some great ideas for a bank app - just very poorly executed. This is a clunky and glitchy app. I am actively looking for a better option so will be switching banks soon. ### 3/5 — Lending *2026-08-25, version 2.3.0* I know that Zopa used to or maybe still does on its website have the ability to land your own money out at risk of losing your capital and I want to know is this option available through the Zopa banking app? Slow transfers compared to some other banks ### 1/5 — New ‘update’ *2026-08-12, version 2.2.0* I really don’t like the new update, I had all my accounts on one page and now it’s across 3 and I’ve had an old credit card randomly come back. ### 2/5 — New app glitches *2026-08-12, version 2.2.0* I like the redesign, the app looks far more modern and more able to compete with other digital banks. However, I’m disappointed by the numerous amount of glitches/bugs. I’ve got old closed credit cards showing that I can’t remove. I can’t unlink back accounts that are closed. The payments section is ridiculous. It’s a known issue. ### 2/5 — Backwards step to add in products to sell *2026-08-11, version 2.2.0* The latest Zopa app update is a real step backwards. Within minutes of using it, two things stood out as noticeably worse — it’s hard to believe this went through proper user testing. First, you now have to dig an extra level down just to see the actual dates of transactions. The main “recent” or “summary” views don’t show dates at all, which makes them far less useful. Second, payees no longer display the nicknames or references I originally set. Anything transferred into the new app just shows my name and the account number. I have several payees set up to move money between my own accounts, and they all now look identical. Previously, I labelled them with the bank names so I could instantly tell which was which. They’ve also pushed “Borrow” and “Investments” front and centre — neither of which I use — while making the things I do use harder to reach. It feels like the update was designed to promote those features rather than improve the core banking experience. Overall, very disappointing. My bonus rate ends soon, and unless existing customers get the same competitive rates as new ones, there’s a good chance I’ll ditch and switch. ### 1/5 — Terrible app update *2026-08-11, version 2.2.0* The new app is awful. Poor effort. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Bait and switch *2026-09-04, version 2.5.0* Replacing the regular saver with justification of subpar “benefits” on the biscuit account reeks of bait and switch tactics. Clearly a rouse to get funding in and hope people leave their savings on a below inflation interest rate once the term finishes. Disappointing and hope customers realise the tactics are no different from other banks. All your awards mean nothing to us. ### 1/5 — Worst support team *2026-09-03, version 2.5.0* Can’t even update name without to and fro multiple times through email, worst service ### 1/5 — The worse customer service and bank ever meet, after I got restrictions on my account without reason *2026-08-24, version 2.3.0* I try to contact customer service and they was unable to sort out the problem in 2h and a half I explain them my problem and my emergency payment which I have to made but they don’t care and because of them I have to stay at list one more month in the pain. A week later no update. Had no issues with the old app & would have rated this 5 star.
