In any issues you ask to send a WhatsApp message and no one replies there properly. Then you ask me to call the specific zostel (in my case zostel gangtok) and when i call them, they say that they dont manage bookings. So where a i supposed to reach out to when i have a booking related issue. ### 1/5 — The support staff is a nightmare and they’re running a scam through this app. *2025-09-07* DO NOT MAKE RESERVATIONS THROUGH THIS APP. USE OTHER SITES!!! And never book Zostel in advance. They don’t even follow their own cancellation policy, saying that it was a ‘bug’ and a glitch’ (which is still present btw). The policy is different when booked through the app and the web. And they won’t respect the app’s policy even after shown proof. The support staff is too lazy and the replies are very unprofessional. I had a high opinion of Zostel before today, and made several reservations through them amounting to tens of thousands, but not anymore. I REPEAT, SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND NEVER BOOK THROUGH THIS APP. BETTER YET, DON’T BOOK ZOSTEL. THERE ARE MANY, MUCH BETTER HOSTELS OUT THERE. ### 1/5 — The app has a bug in History section *2025-05-26* I’ve booked for 1 guest, 2 nights and it’s 899₹ per day (4 dorm),1798₹ for 2days+tax=2k. In the history section it is showing 2 guests, 2 nights. 449.5*2 =899, 449.5*2=899. What the hell it is showing? 2 guests? How did it pass through testing phase? This history can ruin personal life if someone check the phone. I’ll always recommend backpackers to opt “Zostel plus properties” as first priority if it fits in budget. Location wise, It’s built on mountain slope which has multiple levels with rooms made of shipping containers. At all levels of property, One can easily enjoy mountain view filled with green vibes.
