Der Entwickler hat leider komplett außer Acht gelassen, dass es ja auch für das iPad eine Tastatur gibt, vorallem Drittanbietertastaturen sind, für das was sie bieten, in den letzten Monaten immer billiger geworden, leider hat der Entwickler das nicht berücksichtigt, es wurde sich gedacht das iPad auch so wie ein Handy zu halten. Die Webversion ist viel viel besser um mit einer Tastatur zu tippen, leider gibt es nur keine Musik dort. So it teaches your kid to look at the keyboard while typing, which is a difficult habit to unlearn later. ### 3/5 — Fun Game, Needs Horizontal play mode for IPad. *2021-01-17* I can’t play this game on my IPad unfortunately because there does not seem to be an option to play Horizontally. This is how I have to use the IPad with the magic keyboard. I enjoyed this game but I would really like an update to be able to play it on my IPad w/keyboard. Interface is clunky. Tried the website zty.pe and it’s even worse. Would recommend just using typeracer or something else. ### 1/5 — Keyboard Support *2025-04-09* Strange decision to not support connected hardware keyboards. Only the on-screen keyboard shows up. Useless. ### 1/5 — Can’t work on iPad landscape screen and magic keyboard *2025-02-08, version 1.4* Supposed to train typing on proper keyboard instead of screen typing. However on iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard, the screen won’t turn landscape, and it won’t type from keyboard and need to type on screen. This defeat completely typing skills with the survival game. ### 1/5 — Not a huge fan. *2024-09-30* The onscreen keyboard is very janky and often inputs keys that I know I did not press. It’s not sized right, it’s too slim and makes you press the key next to the one you’re trying to press all the time. This is nowhere near the PC version. Don’t waste your time with this, just go to the Phoboslab website and play it there. It shouldn’t have ever been on mobile. Maybe if the keyboard worked like a normal phone keyboard does it would be better but it doesn’t. Phoboslab’s projects are always intriguing because they teach coding and algorithmic learning on an understandable, small-scale level. A while ago, I read an “in the making” article for the creation of ZType on iOS and would never have realized all the little details and features that went into consideration for this simple time-killer. I love what y’all are doing and I look forward to more breakthroughs like this one!! ### 5/5 — There is a very good reason as to why the game can’t go into landscape mode *2021-04-22, version 1.4* This is basically the mobile version of zty.pe but in a app form. That means if you go in safari and load it and put it in landscape mode it doesn’t work that well at all. So stop annoying the develops because of of that is it simply won’t ever work.
