### 2/5 — Okay

*2026-02-27, version 4.3.14*

The app and apartment options themselves are alright but it spams you and fills your emails with useless solicitations that don’t match your search. The recommendations are terrible.

### 2/5 — Verifying information hassle/unnecessary $ information needed

*2025-12-16, version 4.3.11*

zumpers part of verifying information for rental applications is a pain. The customer service is no help because they tell you to talk to the credit reporting agency’s and when you do talk to them everything is good on their end but somehow zumpers part doesn’t work. Then agents just keep telling you the same thing to contact someone else other than them. It’s frustrating they need to fix that part of applications. App should really have other ways we can verify our information because one doesn’t work.
Also very weird to have to put bank information and how much $$ is in it. It’s really no one’s business so Zumper should really fix that part of the questionnaire.
No phone Customer Service so all questions you have to email them for!!

### 2/5 — Super Glitchy and can’t make appts.

*2025-04-22, version 4.2.41*

It has a wonderful bunch of listings and it’s great at notifying you every day. But you can’t make appointments on their platform. Or maybe you can but you won’t know you did because you get an error message. I had to call the properties directly each time. Good luck finding your spot!

### 1/5 — Buggy app

*2025-02-06, version 4.2.38*

The map shows available options, but when I tap on any of them, none open. When I tap ‘list,’ I get a message saying there are no options available. Why do they appear on the map then? Why can’t people in the US make proper apps? Hire Russian-speaking developers and learn from them how to do things right and with quality!

### 1/5 — Hello

*2024-12-31, version 4.2.36*

I can never get Zumper to open. When I click on it from my email it just goes back to my Home Screen Everytime! Very irritating and can’t see the homes info!!

### 3/5 — Needs id

*2024-10-21, version 4.2.31*

Asking for id to make a listing is excessive

### 1/5 — Scammed

*2024-10-09, version 4.2.31*

After we paid for application of $50 We haven’t heard back from them. They provided contact that no one answered but AI. Scammers are everywhere

### 1/5 — Scam

*2024-08-27, version 4.2.28*

This app was used to scam me and steal my personal information be careful, don’t download this app

### 2/5 — Could be better…

*2024-07-30, version 4.2.26*

The app is functional, and serves it purpose.

The only thing that bugs me is the inability to filter out furnished/unfurnished apartments. I have no interest in blueground apartments. I’m not sure why they’re even considered a permanent housing option when they quite literally aren’t.

Bkueground has flooded this app. If I could block them and not see any of their listings that would be great. I don’t care for a temp rental company being the middleman between me and the actual landlord. I don’t want furnished, temporary apartments that I have no stake in.

I want unfurnished, unincorporated housing options. I don’t supported corporations buying up apartments during a housing crisis. I shouldn’t have to scroll past 50 blueground listings to find them. It’s honestly made me use the app less and less because half of the time I’m scrolling past blueground apartments. So what’s the point?

### 1/5 — App is way too complicated

*2024-03-27, version 4.2.19*

Between the unobvious way the app switches between renter and landlord but looks the same and makes you think you’ve lost your messages to potential tenants, and the whole complex and unnecessary way that Padmapper is affiliated but doesn’t show your ad on its app, yet requires the app to post, but it’ll actually need to be posted on Zumper first, however after that’s done you don’t know it automatically posts on Padmapper and that app still says “Post a pad”…….you get my drift. They need a much more straightforward method to combine and make Zumper way more easy to use between landlord and tenant.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — 40 emails in one day??

*2026-05-04, version 4.3.16*

I had to remove 40 emails daily with listings to no end, yet I still received them anyways!

### 1/5 — Login Issue

*2026-03-30, version 4.3.15*

Logged me out and stolen my account info

### 1/5 — Scams

*2026-03-26, version 4.3.15*

Absolutely unusable. This app is full of scams. I don’t know how they vet landlords and property managers. But when I saw an apartment listed in the building, I live in, stating all sorts of lies. Number of rooms. Having a garage that does not exist…. This app is a waste of time. I don’t know who’s giving it five stars.

### 1/5 — Don’t bother

*2026-02-19, version 4.3.14*

If the price is too good to be true , it is. Deleted it bc of all of the fake “realtors” who offer you a lease only to ask you to wire money instead of using a tenant portal like a regular property management company would. I even saw the unit in person, ended up a scam! Doesn’t matter if listing is “verified”. Don’t let these ppl take your hard earned money! Look elsewhere

### 1/5 — Way too many notifications

*2025-09-11, version 4.3.6*

Needs more options to select frequency of notifications it’s insane

### 1/5 — Location sucks

*2025-08-29, version 4.3.6*

Entered a city in Ontario Canada got a listing in Quebec wrong province

### 1/5 — BEWARE THERE ARE SCAMMERS

*2025-08-23, version 4.3.6*

Do not download these apartment apps!! They’re SCAMMERS ON THESE APPS.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2025-07-14, version 4.3.2*

Can’t make an account ! Fix your stupid app

### 1/5 — Owner/operator - great unless you have a problem

*2025-06-18, version 4.3.2*

There is absolutely zero support from this company.

Great option while things are working, but when there is an issue you might as well go talk to the sky.

Horrible support.

### 1/5 — Scammers use this app!

*2025-02-19, version 4.2.38*

Do not use! Scammers!

Lots of properties but some outdated

### 5/5 — Good app for daily rental checks

*2025-07-04, version 4.3.2*

Been apartment hunting for a bit now and Zumper’s ended up being the one I open the most. I check it pretty much every day because listings come and go so quick where I live. It’s just simple to pull up when I’ve got a few minutes and see what’s new and save stuff I like without it turning into a whole thing.

The filters make it way easier to find what I actually need…I always look for pet-friendly spots with laundry, Saving listings helps too since I can go back and remind myself which ones I liked instead of scrolling forever trying to find them again.
I also like that it’s easy to share places with my roommate. We’re never free at the same time so we mostly just text each other links when we find something half decent. The alerts are handy too I get a ping if something new pops up that matches what I set.

Overall, Zumper just works and doesn’t make apartment hunting more annoying than it already is, really helps when things are a bit more manageable which is all I can really ask for right now.

### 5/5 — I CANE BELIEVE I NEVER TRIED ZUMPER!

*2025-06-26, version 4.3.2*

I CANT BELIEVE THIS! They have so many great options! I’m moving soon and this app came in clutch!

### 5/5 — Pet policy

*2025-02-12, version 4.2.38*

Wish site was only pet friendly rentals but other than than get site

### 5/5 — Legit

*2025-01-28, version 4.2.37*

Great app.

### 5/5 — Best rental app out there

*2024-12-31, version 4.2.36*

I've been using the Zumper app for a while now and it's been pretty awesome overall. Apartment hunting is usually such a pain but this app makes it way easier. The layout is clean and simple so scrolling through listings is super easy and you don't need to be super techy to figure it out.

The best thing is how current the listings are. I've tried other apps where the info is outdated or just plain wrong but Zumper seems to stay on top of it. The filters are great too. They make it easy to find exactly what you need like price range, pet friendly options, or neighborhoods you like. The notifications are a game changer too since I never miss out on new places that fit what I'm looking for.

That said, there's room for improvement. The map could be better, like showing clear neighborhood lines or nearby transit to help with location stuff. It'd be cool if there were more recommendations based on your saved preferences or past searches to make finding places even easier. Also, some listings could have more details, especially about landlords or property managers, just to make things more transparent.

Even with these little things I'm feeling really good about using Zumper. It's already made apartment hunting way less stressful and I'm confident it's going to help me find my next home soon!

### 5/5 — Zumper Made Apartment Hunting So Much Easier!

*2024-10-01, version 4.2.31*

I've been using the Zumper app for a few weeks now, and I'm seriously impressed. Searching for an apartment used to be such a headache, but this app has really made things so much easier!

The design is super clean and simple to use, so I never feel overwhelmed while browsing through listings. It's super user-friendly, even for someone who isn't very tech-savvy.

What I love most is how up-to-date the listings are. I've tried other apps before, and I'd always run into outdated posts or wrong info. With Zumper, I feel like I'm actually looking at real, current options.

The filters are also a game-changer—you can narrow things down by exactly what you're looking for, whether it's price range, pet-friendly places, or specific neighborhoods. It makes the whole process so much faster and more efficient!

Another awesome feature is the notifications. I get alerts whenever new listings match my search criteria, which really helps me stay on top of my search. Plus, you can apply to rentals straight from the app, which saves a ton of time and hassle.

Overall, Zumper has taken so much stress out of apartment hunting for me. If you're looking for a new place, I totally recommend giving it a try—it's seriously worth it, and has made my life easier!
