## What is ZWEIG Chat?

• Plain-language error messages with a support code — support can now tell what went wrong at a glance.
• Copy a message's text from its menu.
• Delete a chat for yourself: the conversation disappears for you while the other person keeps theirs.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.10 — 2026-09-01

Calls: the call screen now opens right after you answer instead of staying behind the app. Hanging up ends the call on both sides. The screen turns off when the phone is at your ear. Message search, pinned chats and pinned messages. Select several messages or chats at once. Edit and delete for yourself or for everyone. Swipe to reply, see who has read. Several photos are sent as a single album. Custom contact names, wallpapers. The conversation no longer jumps back to the start of its history.

### 1.0,9 — 2026-08-27

A large mobile update: two dozen fixes people asked for.

Sharing
• Sending from Zweig to other apps and back works again — photos, videos and documents
• Personal files now really do reach the conversation you pick

Messages
• Select several messages: delete for yourself or for everyone, forward in one go
• Edit a message with its previous text already in the field
• Select a piece of text; links open on tap
• Swipe right to reply, swipe left to see who read it and when
• Schedule a message: press and hold the send button

Conversations
• Pin a chat to the top; select several chats at once
• Mute a conversation from your phone
• Message search across all chats and inside the open one
• Media and documents of a conversation on their own screen
• Your own name for a contact, visible only to you
• Leave a conversation; add members while creating a group

Small things that were missing
• Emoji palette with search
• Different colours for names in group chats
• A date that stays put while scrolling, and a jump-to-latest button
• A hide-keyboard button
• Video with a preview frame and file size, upload progress bar
• Chat wallpapers and a notification sound setting

Fixed
• The light theme no longer resets to dark after closing the app
• Avatars of people from other servers are visible
• The call screen fills the whole screen on notched devices

### 1.0.8 — 2026-08-24

Fixed incoming calls on iPhone. An answered call could connect and then stay silent in both directions — neither side could hear the other. Calls now carry sound as soon as they are answered.

The microphone and camera are now requested when you sign in, rather than in the middle of a call. iOS cannot show a permission dialog while a call is coming in, so the request went unseen and access was never granted.

### 1.0.7 — 2026-08-21

Photos and videos from a conversation can now be saved to your gallery, copied, or sent to another app — straight from the message menu, without opening the file first.

Zweig now appears in the system share sheet: a picture, a video or a link from mail, a browser or another messenger goes into a chat without switching apps.

A person from another server is now shown with the server they belong to — the same name on two servers belongs to two different people, and until now there was no way to tell them apart.

People from other servers can be added to group chats and invited to group calls.

### 1.0.6 — 2026-08-20

Photos and videos in a chat can now be saved to your gallery or copied to the
clipboard — from the message menu or with the file open full screen.
