Super App! Es wäre prima, wenn man noch die Möglichkeit hätte anzugeben, wie viel Gramm sich in den Beuteln und Behältern befinden.

Zumindest habe ich mit der App schon mal angefangen meine Freezer-Inhalte zu speichern. Allerdings ist die aktuelle Version recht rudimentär und wenig flexibel: Man MUSS Boxen oder Tüten von Zwilling verwenden. Bereits vakuumiertes wird in einer nicht verwendeten Box gespeichert. Das Ablaufdatum interessiert mich nicht, ich möchte das gern ausblenden. Keine Massen-Operationen, man muss alles einzeln bearbeiten. Lagerort muss bei jedem item immer wieder neu gewählt werden. Leute, das Ding hat so viel Potenzial, aber macht es flexibler und pfiffiger. Was spricht z.B. gegen eigene QR Codes?

Wir werden auf jeden Fall die Möglichkeit prüfen, das Ablaufdatum zu entfernen und Massenoperationen als eine der nächsten Funktionen in der App zu integrieren. Außerdem können Sie die App auch ohne ZWILLING-QR-Codes nutzen. Wenn Sie auf die Schaltfläche „+“ tippen, um einen neuen F&S-Artikel hinzuzufügen, wählen Sie einfach die Option „Ohne Code hinzufügen“ aus, und schon können Sie alle Vorteile der Anwendung nutzen, ohne den Behälter identifizieren zu müssen. Alternativ können Sie ZWILLING-NFC-Tags kaufen und diese an jedem anderen Behälter anbringen.

Insgesamt gefällt mir die App sehr gut.
Allerdings funktioniert die Einkaufsliste nicht zuverlässig – es werden regelmäßig einige Einträge gelöscht.
Es wäre hilfreich, wenn leere Behälter einfach als Einkaufspunkte zur Einkaufsliste hinzugefügt werden könnten.
Zudem fände ich es praktisch, bei den Containern die Menge oder Stückzahl angeben zu können die sich im Behälter befinden. Braucht man ja manchmal. Die Datumseingabe ohne automatische Berechnung ist etwas kompliziert anzutippen.
Ich nutze die App auch, um andere Lebensmittel zu tracken, und da wäre es sinnvoll, eine Gesamtmenge anzeigen zu lassen, statt jedes einzelne Produkt einzeln eingeben zu müssen.

Pretty sure the notification is enable but never seen a single notification about food is going to expire. 
If it worked with smart home device(eg.Homepod) it would be much better.

Im Resultat zeigt die App Lebensmittel als abgelaufen an obwohl die noch gar nicht den Weg in das Gefrierfach gefunden haben. Seems I can share individual food items, nice!  

Can I share all items, new items, all the time?  Automatically?

If you want to share your items and automatically notify your family about adding the new one or removing one of them you can create a family group and invite them (You > Manage family group > Create a family group > share invitation). After that all your family can manage your inventory, receive notifications about food expiration, adding new food items and removing them. Die App selbst ist super alles lässt sich super verknüpfen. Was ich super finde ist auch, dass beim Scannen von NFC oder QR direkt das Produkt geöffnet wird und nicht nur eine Kategorie. Was ich mir noch wünschen würde wären Gefrieretiketten mit QR Code. So könnte man z.B. auch gekaufte TK Produkte einfach in die App aufnehmen. Auch Beutelclips mit NFC Tag wären super.

The system with the vacuum sealer is not sealing food in freezer adequately, the bags always loose some vacuum, which doesn’t happen with pantry items. 
Also, the app needs improvement. It’s not intuitive and can’t be customized. The item list that are suggest are not sufficient and pretty basic, one should be able to customize those. Overall it’s ok, but there’s the risk of not using the app because it’s not that intuitive.

This is a great app. I really like how it notifies me of items that’s about to expire. It helps with meal planning too, when I can view what all I have sealed in a list. 

Would be nice: 
Keep my previous labels, so I don’t have to type out Strawberries every week

Give some caution on things Ex: Grapes vacuum in a bag is not okay, they will get smushed and deformed. I did not know this 🤷‍♀️

I’m not sure how the recipe section is supposed to be helpful with the “items I have”. It doesn’t actually use the items I have but give generalized recipes on broad categories. Ex: You like vegetarian meals and you have a veggie bag in the freezer, so try this tasty recipe…I just have broccoli and the recipe suggestion doesn’t list broccoli.

1 - If you want to add exactly the same item you created before try to use recents. For example after you have eaten your Strawberries and decided to add Strawberries again after scanning screen you can see the list of "Recents". You can click on any item in "Recents" list and all information will be added to the new item: name, food category, storage, description, image etc.;

2 - Before you vacuum berries it would be better to freeze them and after that put into bag, then berries would not get smushed and deformed. Or you can use boxes instead of bags;

3 - If you want to read more life hacks you can open Discover tab and read a lot of articles and watch videos how to use our Zwilling products, how to save some food, how to clean Zwilling products etc.
Thank you that you mentioned recipes functionality. Now we work on improvements so keep tuned and make sure you have automatic app updates enabled.

### 2/5 — An app with a lot of potential

It's cool on the surface when you first start using it, but once you try to put it to work the limitations come out.

By far the biggest issue is when you store a food item, there's no way to store information about the item. They give you an optional description box but it doesn't work if you enter in more than a sentence because it will only scroll the very first time you create the item and enter the text. After saving, it will not scroll anymore. Storing pancake mix and wanna save the instructions? Not gonna happen. Storing protein powder and want to save a picture of the nutritional facts for reference? No way to do that. Even if you made it the item photo, that can't be enlarged bigger than a thumbnail so it wouldn't be readable. If you do use their description box, make sure you hit save before tapping anything else or it will delete everything you wrote - though sometimes it will do that anyway. Right now the only way reliable way to save information about an item is to save photos or text in a separate app or location somewhere which kind of defeats the purpose of the whole "store the info using NFC" idea because the only useful information from scanning is the expiration, which you have to calculate yourself or use the default 2 years. 

When you save food in a bag, they give you the option to select the type of food and location (freezer, fridge, pantry, etc) that's in the bag and they'll determine the expiration using that info. While the food options they give you are super limited right now and need to be expanded, this is a great feature. The NFC dry food storage needs the expanded version of this feature, otherwise without this and the ability to add more product details, ingredients, photos, nutritional info... I really don't see the point of the NFCs at all which would be a disappointing missed opportunity for something great.

The ability to have recipes suggested based on what you have is so brilliant and reminds me of myfridgefood where you could input the food you have in the website and it would tell you all the things you can make. That itself was an awesome idea, then to connect it to Fresh and Save? Could be such a game changer! But unfortunately it really doesn't work at all and most of the "meals based on what you have" are composed of 90% ingredients I do not have. Another missed opportunity.

The concept behind this app and the whole Fresh and Save system is so awesome and it has so much untapped potential, but in its current form it's a marketing gimmick. I really hope the Zwilling team sees that potential and fixes this in the next update.

I was previously signed in via apple SSO in UK but it signed me out and now I can’t sign back in with my original account. It’s been broke for week and yes I have tried reinstalling. Please fix it. Half the fresh and save experience is based around this app and the QR code

Fresh&Save ist diesen Sommer mit der jährlichen Himbeerschwemme bei uns eingezogen. Sowohl die Behälter als auch die Tüten verwende ich sehr gerne. Nach der ersten Verwechslung des Inhalts einer Tüte wollte ich heute die App installieren. Nach der großen Freude "oh, sie kostet sogar nichts" die Ernüchterung: Registrierungszwang. Aus Stabilitätsgründen? Haha. Tut mir leid, aber ich werde mich sicher nicht registrieren, nur weil ich ein paar QR-Codes (lokal, nicht in der Cloud) verwalten will. Den Rest der App brauche ich nicht. Vielleicht kann sich Zwilling eine Light-App ohne Registrierung vorstellen, mit der man nur die QR-Codes verwalten kann? Mit Stabilitätsproblemen könnte ich leben. Solange es das nicht gibt, klebe ich wieder Aufkleber auf die Tüten und Boxen, ganz old school.

Außerdem kannst du das Magazin, den Online-Shop und vieles mehr nutzen. Wir können dir versichern, dass alle Kundendaten verschlüsselt in der Cloud gespeichert werden.

Aha. Warum muss man das Kleingedruckte um 2 Ecken finden?
Die Produkte finde ich super. Aber wenn man schon wie ein Kind angeredet wird…
Ich hatte gehofft, Zwilling hätte auch abseits der Produkte ein gehobenes Niveau. Neuer Lieferant für Messer gesucht.

This used to be great. Now every time I use the app I get a notification ’guest login is no longer available’. I’ve tried many times to create an account, on phone and computer. I always get an error. I also then get a notification ‘identity cannot be verified’. I have no idea why a food storage app would need to verify my identity. I spent a lot of money on swilling products based on the previous app, and they are now almost useless other than as ‘traditional’ vacuum bags.

App scans the barcodes on the containers fine but not the bags.. 

it will scan them when the bag is empty and flat but once the bag is vacuum with food it does not recognise the barcode.. kind of defeats the purpose as I can’t check the content by scanning.. I have to check the code against a list.. you should have made the top of the bag oversized so the code is printed above the zipper on plastic that is not under vacuum! 

I will ditch the app and write my own numbers on the bags!

I love my bags that have a valve for removing air. I bought the set and it includes 2 plastic storage boxes. I am devastated that it takes air out and 5 mins later seal breaks. Can not make them work. Have no receipt or box. Back to shop. No joy 😟

Not only will I never accept a forced account - I will definitely not buy any further product from this range (and Zwilling) since without the App they are useless.

Die App ist schon super, wäre aber noch besser, wenn in den Beschreibungen der eigenen Behälter URLs erkannt werden könnten.

Hintergrund: wir nutzen bestimmte Lebensmittel gezielt für Rezepte, auf die wir gerne direkt verlinken möchten. Vor allem in Kombination mit den NFC Tags wäre das super praktisch.

Beispiel: Die Linsen in unserem 3S Container sind für unser lieblings Linsengericht. Wenn wir mit dem Handy den NFC Sticker scannen und die App die Informationen zum Container anzeigt, wäre es praktisch, wenn der Link in unserer Beschreibung direkt anklickbar wäre. Alternativ ein neues Feld nur für URLs hinzufügen.

I absolutely adore my ZWILLING, fresh and save. This app makes it all work so seamlessly. I can keep track of how old the food is. It sends me reminders of when I need to start using food that I’ve sealed and entered into the app. I no longer have to worry about forgetting what I have in the refrigerator. It’s a really efficient app.
