# SuperScore Music vs Notation

The clearest difference is rating: Notation at 5.0 against SuperScore Music's 4.4. Notation also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 4 months) and device support (3 vs 1). SuperScore Music's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (17 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SuperScore Music sells 16 one-off in-app purchases and Notation sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notation holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SuperScore Music has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 95% of SuperScore Music's written reviews are positive against 100% of Notation's.

SuperScore Music ships an update every 4 months, Notation every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
