# Culture Guide vs FAR Prep Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Culture Guide at 4.3 against FAR Prep Pro's 3.7. Culture Guide also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FAR Prep Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Culture Guide asks for nothing beyond the download.

Culture Guide holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Culture Guide has 15 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Culture Guide's written reviews are positive against 67% of FAR Prep Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Culture Guide ships an update every 2 weeks, FAR Prep Pro monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
