# Zone vs Flipd

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Zone at none against Flipd's 18. Zone also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5). Flipd's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 24 months) and ratings volume (7K vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flipd sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Zone asks for nothing beyond the download.

Zone holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flipd has 7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Zone ships an update every 24 months, Flipd every 11 days. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
