# Zone vs Focused Work

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Zone at none against Focused Work's 14. Zone also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Focused Work's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 24 months) and ratings volume (605 vs 1). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focused Work sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Zone asks for nothing beyond the download.

Zone holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focused Work has 605 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Zone ships an update every 24 months, Focused Work weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
