# TRENDnet IPView vs AXIS Installer

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: AXIS Installer at none against TRENDnet IPView's 1. AXIS Installer also leads on review sentiment (25% vs 12%) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). TRENDnet IPView's advantage is rating (2.1 vs 1.7) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 18.0). On price, ratings volume, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TRENDnet IPView sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. AXIS Installer asks for nothing beyond the download.

TRENDnet IPView holds the better App Store score, 2.1 against 1.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 16 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 12% of TRENDnet IPView's written reviews are positive against 25% of AXIS Installer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TRENDnet IPView ships an update every 2 months, AXIS Installer monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
