# CarbonTV vs Pursuit+

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CarbonTV at none against Pursuit+'s 2. CarbonTV also leads on review sentiment (72% vs 51%) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 3 months). Pursuit+'s advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (298 vs 67). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pursuit+ sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. CarbonTV asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pursuit+ holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 67 and 298 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of CarbonTV's written reviews are positive against 51% of Pursuit+'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CarbonTV ships an update every 2 months, Pursuit+ every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
