# Studious vs Digital Planner for iPad

The clearest difference is rating: Digital Planner for iPad at 4.3 against Studious's 2.4. Digital Planner for iPad also leads on ratings volume (2.1K vs 9) and update cadence (every 6 days vs monthly). Studious's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Digital Planner for iPad sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Studious asks for nothing beyond the download.

Digital Planner for iPad holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Digital Planner for iPad has 2.1K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Studious's written reviews are positive against 44% of Digital Planner for iPad's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Studious ships an update monthly, Digital Planner for iPad every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
