# Fun With Dynamite vs Salary Cat

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Salary Cat at 75% against Fun With Dynamite's 25%. Salary Cat also leads on ads (none vs shown). Fun With Dynamite's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 8) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 130 months). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Salary Cat sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Fun With Dynamite asks for nothing beyond the download.

Fun With Dynamite holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fun With Dynamite has 22 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Fun With Dynamite's written reviews are positive against 75% of Salary Cat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fun With Dynamite ships an update every 3 months, Salary Cat every 130 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
