# Area Quiz vs Fraction Challenge

The clearest difference is ads: Fraction Challenge at none against Area Quiz's shown. Fraction Challenge also leads on ratings volume (1.5K vs 11) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). Area Quiz's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.5). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Area Quiz sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Fraction Challenge sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Area Quiz holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fraction Challenge has 1.5K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Area Quiz's written reviews are positive against 70% of Fraction Challenge's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Area Quiz ships an update every 5 months, Fraction Challenge every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
