# WorkTime vs Shift Work Calendar

The clearest difference is rating: WorkTime at 4.4 against Shift Work Calendar's 3.8. WorkTime also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (4.7K vs 13). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WorkTime sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Shift Work Calendar sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WorkTime holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WorkTime has 4.7K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of WorkTime's written reviews are positive against 60% of Shift Work Calendar's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WorkTime ships an update every 3 weeks, Shift Work Calendar every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
