# WorkTime vs Derrick

The clearest difference is ads: WorkTime at none against Derrick's shown. WorkTime also leads on ratings volume (4.7K vs 26). Derrick's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.4). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WorkTime sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Derrick sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Derrick holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WorkTime has 4.7K ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
