# Wetherspoon vs NeoTaste

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Wetherspoon at 11K against NeoTaste's 65. Wetherspoon also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and review sentiment (50% vs 41%). NeoTaste's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Wetherspoon against 4.7 for NeoTaste. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wetherspoon has 11K ratings behind it against 65, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 50% of Wetherspoon's written reviews are positive against 41% of NeoTaste's.

Wetherspoon ships an update monthly, NeoTaste weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
