# Physics Toolbox Magnetometer vs ForeignSail

The clearest difference is ads: Physics Toolbox Magnetometer at none against ForeignSail's shown. ForeignSail's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 13 months) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.1). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Physics Toolbox Magnetometer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ForeignSail sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Physics Toolbox Magnetometer ships an update every 13 months, ForeignSail every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
