# PPL Navigation Trainer vs Groundschool Anywhere

The clearest difference is rating: Groundschool Anywhere at 5.0 against PPL Navigation Trainer's 1.0. PPL Navigation Trainer's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 40%) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PPL Navigation Trainer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Groundschool Anywhere sells 26 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Groundschool Anywhere holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of PPL Navigation Trainer's written reviews are positive against 40% of Groundschool Anywhere's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PPL Navigation Trainer ships an update every 2 months, Groundschool Anywhere every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on September 25, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
