# Medbridge vs Basecamp Arena

The clearest difference is monetization model: Basecamp Arena at free with in-app purchases against Medbridge's subscription. Basecamp Arena also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). Medbridge's advantage is ratings volume (13K vs 1.5K). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Medbridge sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Basecamp Arena sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Medbridge against 4.8 for Basecamp Arena. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Medbridge has 13K ratings behind it against 1.5K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 59% and 60% positive.

Medbridge ships an update every 2 months, Basecamp Arena monthly. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
